Ever had one of those nights when your having a look at the stash and come across a box with some AM goodies in it? The ones that you just "had to have" and stashed them away with the kit just ready for the time being right to build it. It happened to me this evening. I picked up a Tamiya Razorback which I had added a Loon models "C" cowling to, along with Lone Stars resin flat keel and 200 Gallon ferry tank. What started as "I'll just have a look, maybe take the casting plug off the keel" turned into chopping the keel away from the kit parts. Having a dry fit, and wondering if there would actually be enough clearance for the thing to sit on its wheels. So, it was a quick tape of everything together and a dry run. Have to say I'm quite impressed with the fit of the keel. I havent done any clean up whatsoever so a big thumbs up to Mike West for casting a nice fitting piece. Worst part of the fit is right at the rear of the part, which is going to be the easiest area to fill so no major heartache there. A few iphone pics to start the ball rolling. Final identity is undecided but I'm sure it'll end up being one of the 56th's. Nige http://p47.kitmaker.net/ http://56thfightergroup.co.uk/
