  1. Wow this GB came up much quicker than expected!! Oh well guess I’d better chain myself to the work bench for a few more months. As soon as I saw this model release I knew I had to have one, but being patience for a change I finally saw one on evilBay at a price I couldn’t refuse……..that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. As most people know by now these AMK models are insane!! The attention to detail and attention and packaging is amazing….and of course the “Slide Moulded” parts!!! Oh course me being me I have to add
  2. Hobby Boss is to release in 2015-2016 a new tool 1/48th MiG-31 "Foxhound" kit: MiG-31 - ref.81753 and Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-31B/BM - ref.81754. Bad news for the AMK project (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234946328-mig-31bm-avantgarde-model-148/?hl=foxhound#entry1401014). 4. Hello everyone. This is my recently finished MiG-31 Foxhound, 1/48 scale from Hobby Boss. Didn't encounter major problems throughout the build. Hope you like it.
  5. I started this kit two years ago and for the best part of last year it was just sitting collecting dust,I just didn't feel like doing any work on it.I finally decided to get it done this month and here it is.No it didn't turn out as good as I hoped it would (I still got a lot of learining and improving ahead of me) but it could have been worse. Took these pics real quick with my phone hence the bad quality.
  6. Hi. Santa dropped this on my doorstep. 019 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And I've been drooling over it all Christmas. But yesterday as I was waiting for the Junior World Championship Ice hockey tournament to start I somehow opened up one small bag and started to prime the engine parts. Orca 001 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr So I guess I can say that this build officially started. I'll continue with the massive engines tonight... To be continued... /Bosse

  8. Waiting on some replacement parts for my Danish Dynamite and with an upcoming training coming up, I decided to start building this gorgeous kit. Kit of the year 2015 I believe. And so far, I am absolutely amazed by it.. it fits like a glove, is detailed and is huge.. I have read Mike's build here one Britmodeler and that was indeed the trigger to start.. And this one it will be, blue 05: Airliners.net picture removed - read the rules regarding using these Okay.. something I didn't know as well... i'll leave it here since Blue 05 is not possible anyway.. see la
  9. Russian MiG-31 Foxhound 1:72 Trumpeter The Mikoyan MiG-31, known by the NATO reporting name 'Foxhound' is an all-weather interceptor and replacement for the more famous but far less capable MiG-25 Foxbat. Although the MiG-31 bears a close resemblance to its predecessor, it is only the basic elements of the design that are shared. The MiG-31 is a much more modern aircraft and benefits from a very capable suite of avionics which provides full look down/shoot down capability against targets are small as cruise missiles. One thing it does have in common with
  10. MiG-31B/BM Photo Etch and Masks for Trumpeter Kit 1:72 Eduard Eduard seem to have tracked the release of Trumpeter's new line up of Russian jets in 1:72 fairly closely. Each time a new kit has been released, we haven't had to wait long for a set of photo etch and masks. There is even a growing range of high-quality resin hardware to hang off the bottom of your chosen kit. This month is the turn of the new MiG-31B/BM kit to receive the Eduard treatment. MiG-31B/BM In the usual Eduard style, this
  11. Hello gents, here is my latest build, and first on Britmodeller.
  12. My entry shall be a MiG-31 by Revell in 1/72. Only second ever group build and looking forward to seeing all comrades entries..
  13. I read there are a few of these kits available by different companies. Which companies make them? And could you help by reviewing accuracy of the kit, ease of build, and other such important information? If this has been covered please simply direct me to the proper links here and elsewhere. Thanks very much. R
  14. Hi ll, I have the AMK Mig-31 which calls for Traffic Grey by Mr Paint.............can anyone recommend a suitable substitute ? Tamiya, or Mr Hobby/Gunze ? Cheers Paul
  15. So after lurking on the forums for a while looking at everyones work I thought I should contribute with an attempt of my own. Normally I'm a fan of things with propellers on them but when I was a kid there was one jet that I loved and that was the Mig-25 Foxbat. So when I saw that AMK were going to be releasing one I made the error of looking at the Mig-31 As they say a fool and his money are easily parted..... Sooo. I'm hoping you guys will give me some hints along the way as this is a new subject area for me and I will be needing guidance, not least with
  16. Finally...... AMK Микоян МиГ-31, Саваслейка Air Base in 1/48 scale with Eduard Interior. A superb kit of a beautiful russian aircraft! I hope you gents like it, thanks for watching! Oliver
  17. We've got one each of the recently released Hobby Boss Su-27 Flanker and MiG-31 Foxhound at really good prices, as in over 40% off RRP!!! Be quick if you want either! We've restocked on some of the offers from last week, such as the Eduard Fw190 Royal class and Fw190F-8 kits, as well as the 1/48 X-1. There's no more Drakens or Bf109F profipacks though, as the supplier ran out pretty quick. Have a look on our website now for a bargain! thanks Mike
  18. In the Oscar's eve I'll start with DiCaprio's sentence from the movie Inception: COBB: What's the most resilient parasite? A bacteria? A virus? An intestinal worm? ARTHUR: What Mr. Cobb is trying to say- COBB: An idea. Resilient, highly contagious. Once an idea's taken hold in the brain it's almost impossible to eradicate. A person can cover it up, ignore it- but it stays there. SAITO: But surely-to forget...? COBB: Information, yes. But an idea? Fully formed, understood? That sticks... In there, somewhere. I'm not sure who implanted this into my head almos
  19. Just a quick reminder of some of the latest kits to arrive at MJW Models @ discounted prices! We have the AMK 1/48 MiG-31B/BS in stock right now. We did also have the new AMK 1/72 Delfin in stock but they were snapped up straight away, so if anyone wants a Delfin, we need to know, so we can order more in! We've also had some new Special Hobby 1/72 kits in stock too. The Vautour with Cyrano Radar is in stock now and we've restocked on the simple Mirage F.1 set too. We did get the Mirage F.1B kit in stock but it was snapped up straight away by a certain Group Build Moderator! Just like the Del

  21. Model of MiG-31 in 1/72 scale. Built few years ago with Condor kit and PART`s brass for Zvezda. Vacu canopies are self-made. Decals are from Authentic Decals set for MiG-31. Terrible build, but I'm quite happy with a result.
  22. I have completed MiG-31 "Export" in 1:72 from ICM kit using Extratech etched parts, Begemot decals, NeOmega seats and Elf wheels. I started with main wheel bays
