  4. #27/2023 Dear fellow modellers, this is most probably my dad´s last finished model for this year. So we already wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2024. LF Models kit built oob, only added Eduard PE seatbelts and EZ Line for the antenna wire. Painted with Tamiya XF-5 Flat Green, XF-10 Flat Brown, XF-82 Ocean Gray 2 (RAF) and an old selfmixed RLM65. It´s a typical shortrun kit but overall not a bad one. It´s full plastic, no PE, no resin no vacform. Build thread here https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235131500-failed-rival148-heinkel-he112b-1-royal-hungarian-airforce/ The He112 was the Bf109 rival which never really made it to success. Besides being hardly in German Luftwaffe use, 30 went to Japan, another 30 to Romania. 19 were used by Spain and only 3 flew with the RHAF. Our Austrian Airforce also ordered 42 (later reduced to 36) He112B in late 1937, but due to our Anschluss to Germany they never were delivered. During summer 1940, tension rose between Hungary and Romania over Transylvania and both mobilized their forces. If the conflict would have became hot, it would have been the first encounter between He112s. In April 1941, during the Yugoslavian campaign, the Hungarian 112s received the typical yellow recognition markings for that area but never saw any combat. By spring 1944 none of the Hungarian He112 were servicable anymore. All three were destroyed most probably during the Allied bombing attacks on Hungary in summer 1944. 15. #23/2020 My dad´s latest completion. Airfix kit, seatbelt decals for the pilot seat from the sparesbox, masking tape for the other seats, painted with a selfmixed RLM65 (mix not known anymore), ochre paint mixed with Tamiya XF-60 Dark Yellow and Gunze H310 Tan, Gunze H309 FS34079 green and Tamiya XF-10 Brown. Markings are from Lift Here Decals and LF models. Used EZ Line for the antenna wire. The kit provides only one type of pitot tube, so my dad cut off the lower part and glued a plastic rod onto it to get the needed one. Build thread here https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235079732-balkans-brit148-bristol-blenheim-mki-royal-yugoslav-airforce/ Besides the initial two British Blenheims which came in silver, Yugoslavia produced 40 licence aircraft that where factory painted in the Yugo 3-tone scheme, a further 20 used RAF aircraft were bought too. These came in DG/DE over black camo. Most of them were repainted in Yugo camo until the German attack in April 1941. Decided to build one of the repainted planes. Lift Here Decals were for aircraft No.3548. This was the only imported Blenheim that received additional defensive guns and a new turret. Because my dad is no scratchbuild god he decided to leave the number away and apply none. The roundels were too big, so I bought a LF Models Yugo Bf110 decal sheet (used one of these recently as you may remember) and these roundels suited much better. 17. #15/2020 My dad wanted to build the good old Fujimi 110 now for a while. It can´t keep up with the newer Eduard and Dragon offerings but still makes a nice model. Decided to do an exotic scheme. Used parts from a True Details resin cockpit, EZ Line for the antenna wires and brake lines, decals from LF Models, nose MGs from the sparesbox, camo done with Gunze H67 RLM65, Tamiya XF-60 Dark Yellow, XF-64 Red Brown and XF-58 Olive Green. Build thread here https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235073364-under-new-management148-messerschmitt-bf110c-4-royal-yugoslav-airforce/ On April 1st 1941 a German Bf110C4 flew from Vienna, via Hungary with intended destination in Romania. Due to a navigation error, the aircraft landed at Kraljevo airfield in central Serbia. The crew,Lt. Hans Diehter,Uoff.Wilhelm Pries and mechanic Eugen Schaufelle, was interned, the plane overpainted and a few days later transferred to Belgrade and later to the temporary airfield Veliki Radinci where it was destroyed on April 12th 1941 so that it didn´t fall back into German hands after Yugoslavia was invaded on April 6th 1941. 18. My dad acquired a liking for 110s at the moment. So after starting the Iraqi one he will soon start a Yugoslav one. This aircraft changed ownership after it´s crew made a navigation mistake and landed in Yugoslavia instead of Bulgaria, a week before the German invasion in Yugoslavia. The crew was detained and the 110 received VVKJ markings and camo. Gonna use the good old Fujimi kit DSC_0006 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr using LF Models decals for the markings DSC_0007 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr and pimping it with a True Details cockpit DSC_0008 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr
  19. I've recently acquired a camouflage paint mask set for the 1/48 Tamiya Meteor F.1 from LF Models. It will be my first experience with painting masks. I have used self-adhesive canopy masks from Chris Loney of EZ Masks before with good results. One tip that Chris suggests is to wet the canopy (or the individual vinyl piece) in some soapy water. That allows one to arrange the mask into position. My question is will the same technique work with these LF painting masks as well? Like the EZ Masks, they are self-adhesive and I'm wondering how much "wiggle room" one might have when applying these to the painted surface. I'm hesitant to dip one of the LF pieces into soapy water without knowing if that will botch it up or allow for easier placement. I could sure use some advice before proceeding further. Thanks so much for any help! Cheers, Gary. 🍺

Well, I followed the instructions on the forum post on how link images on flickr to BM and yes, I copied and pasted the URL from the address bar, inserted it in this field, got a message saying the image had been automatically embedded, but there's nothing here now. Help appreciated please guys. Mike, please could you delete my previous post on this subject too. Many thanks.
