Starting to plan the paint for a Ju 52 in SCW period. I have the Owl decals, and am using a 1/72 Heller kit as the basis. I plan on doing 22*101. https://eshop.owl-czech.eu/detail/1-72-ju-52-spanish-transport/ I have not been able to find a photograph of the specific airplane. The Owl instructions seem to indicate RLM 63, but I wonder if L40/52 would be a better match? I've checked the the M. Ullmann book as a reference, without much joy. Any assistance or help much appreciated. KE

Hi folks,it must be participating and seeing all those "art deco" thirties aircraft in the French fancy GB that drew me to have a go at something similar in looks in the form of Junkers tri-engined 52,so being pay week it was time to Pick up Italeri,s recent boxing which includes a superb decal sheet including a pre-war version with the Large red tail adorned with the National Socialist emblem(not supplied) so not straying too far from my military interests. There are a lot of ejector pin marks to fill on the interior for those that prefer filling them to get to grips with. The kit has been around for many a year but still has some fine details notably the corrugated skin,so not as modern as last years Airbus my first civil build but hopefully as interesting. Thanks to Nils for helping me out with photo,s of the interior of his build for colour references.

This time Björn brings us his build of a Ju 52: and tells the story about why the Tante has two different engines and what he did to convert from a Mädchen to a Swedish Girl the story can be found here: http://www.ipmsstockholm.se/home/148-junkers-ju52-ab-aerotransport/ /Lars Befring for IPMS-Stockholm
