Few days ago I started with this kit; Aoshima 1/700 JS Suzutsuki. She visited Jakarta in 2018, and I was able to went onboard. It was during my time off, so it become a family day out for us. The crew was very friendly but the heat was unbearable, and too bad we only able to access the main deck and heli hangar. Cannot even get close to the SH-60B, but we did have a chance to see the RAST working. I already started working few days ago with sub assemblies. The fittings was quite ok in few parts, putty required in several points. I got relatively good picture of the hangar, so decided to detail it a bit with plasticards and PE stairs from Lionroar 1/700 german stairs. Yes not accurate, but looks good enough from that small hangar opening.. Cheers, Mario

Hello all, Here's my just finished 1/48 ICM JRB-4 Twin Beech. I saw the kit with these markings at the hobbyshop a couple months ago and thought it would be nice to build something bright and colourful for a change. Painted with Tamiya (white) ,MR Paint (international orange) and Humbrol (the hinomaru), the decals came from the kit and were very nice to work with. Other than the engine cowlings with a nasty horizontal seam, the kit was a joy to build. I did change the antenna on the roof and pitot tubes under the nose to look more like the later ones. Gear doors were not used, as they are missing from the ones on photos of the real ones too. Thanks for looking, I hope you like it. Pete

I built this several years ago but re-photographed it more recently. It's the Hasegawa 1/48 U-36A, a militarised version of the Learjet used by the JMSDF. The basic Lear kit was simplified in detail but fit really well, and the radome/wing pods etc were supplied as resin. I couldn't find any reference of the interior so I depicted some of the blinds half-closed to hide the lack of detail. I did some basic re-scribing and airbrushed the model with Gunze lacquers.

Hello everyone. I really wanted to make a WIP of this build but because 1) time constraints, 2) not having my own nor the borrowed laptop handy, and 3) a temporary problem with the image hosting website I use (postimage.org) I decided to go forego the WIP posts. Anyway, I posted the pictures of the assembly on my Facebook page -is it allowed to say FB here??? I wonder...-. It was an extremely satisfactory build And I must insist that lacquer paints are the best! The model was entirely hand painted and no masking was used on the windshields. I made a great effort in painting the interior really well, (and the interior took me days) just to realize that you won't be able to see it ever again. There were very few mistakes. The most notable one was the grey line on the door side. It is higher at the back than at the front, something you'd notice if the door were closed. That's why I had to leave the door open. And the floor visible through the open door has two color tones because the paint I used was a lacquer that I recovered from a solid dry state and it had changed tone by the time I used it at the "doorstep" after a little putty filling I had to do there. The kit itself was strangely missing the interior ceiling by design but well. Other than that, a spectacular model indeed. Oh, and I didn't paint the rotor blades exactly how they should be. Too much, too much.
