Hi Everyone, whilst I`m struggling with my current build ( S/H`s Boomerang ) I thought I`d take the opportunity to show you a build from a while ago AMT`s 1/48 scale A-20G Havoc Strafer Done as Little Joe from the 312th Bomb Group, 389th Bomb Squadron, Philippines, 1945, which is a kit option There`s a photo of the aircraft a book I have ( Rampage of the Roaring Twenties )which shows the artwork on both sides of the nose and luckily I had a spare sheet in the stash so arranged it to match Otherwise the only additions are; wire ignition harness, paper and foil seat belts and replaced the nose guns with brass tube Hope you enjoy looking at, Cheers Russ

Hi All, Thought I`d show you some pictures of my very latest completion, Italeri/AMT, 1/48th A-20 Which I`ve converted slightly to represent a Boston Strafer of 22 Sqn, RAAF Decals from High Planes Models and the option I chose has had a replacement outer starboard mainplane and a replacement or repaired port elevator Had to modify the engine cowlings and nacelles to an earlier configuration to the kit items Which entailed: cutting cooling vents in the cowling, adding different exhaust arrangement from some plastic tube, filler and plastic sheet and nose guns from some brass tube otherwise its the kit apart from a few bits of wire in the usual places Hope you enjoy looking at, Have a good week, cheers Russ

Howdy Everyone, Finally finished my, not as quick as it was meant to be, Hobbycraft boxing of AMT`s 1/48 P-40F Done as an aircraft of the 68th F.S., Guadalcanal, 1943 I was looking at it after building it up ready for paint when I suddenly thought that I couldnt live with the nose as it was, so out came the razor saw, drill, sheet plastic and filler and I widened the nose, deepened the rear underside of the cowling and added the slots behind the cooling flaps I had already added the carburettor intake and butterfly prior to butchering the kit. Otherwise it`s as Mr AMT intended with a few wire embellishments and the decals are the kits. Hopefully I`ve made a presentable rendition of the `F` version out of it all. Thanks for looking, Have a good weekend, Cheers Russ
