  1. Pontos/Lighthouse-Models 25001R1 - 1/250 Antarctica Observation Ship "SOYA" The Third Antaractica Observation Corps. This is the first full kit released by Pontos Model of South Korea, and introducing their associated new brand Lighthouse Model. The kit is a beautifully crisp injection moulded plastic kit, with a full Pontos Model detail-up set included within the box and the two intrinsically designed for each other from the outset. You get one full-colour instruction manual, 7 injection moulded trees, 6 sheets of photo-etched brass plus a photo-etched steel name plate in English or Japanese, 3 cast resin parts and 2 metal propellers (screws), 1 wooden deck laminate, 224 turned brass parts and a sheet of Cartograph printed decals. Soya is the second most famous ship in Japan, but unlike the most famous (the battleship Yamato) the Soya was a research vessel. The kit includes tracked snow vehicle, helicopters and DHC-2 Beaver floatplane carried on board. This product contains everything you could want to make a first-class model apart from tools and consumables. https://www.sovereignhobbies.co.uk/collections/1-250-naval-kits/products/pontos-lighthouse-models-25001r1-1-250-antarctica-observation-ship-soya-the-third-antaractica-observation-corps
  2. It's a busy month for the smaller releases from Meng, as they've announced their new accessory set in 1:35. Water bottles and beer bottles in injection moulded styrene, no less! Here are a couple of teaser pics - and it's interesting to note that the water bottles include the big water bottles for the top of office coolers. SPS-010 Water Bottles for Vehicle/Diorama This 1/35 scale water bottle model kit contains 12 bottles including one type of small water bottle and one type of big bottle. These realistic bottles are made of high-quality light blue transparent plastic. They can be put onto vehicles like modern tanks and military armored vehicles and can also be applied to figure models and dioramas to highly improve details and reality. It’s the best choice for adding highlights to your models. SPS-011 Beer Bottles for Vehicle/Diorama This 1/35 scale beer bottle model kit contains 16 bottles including 4 types of beer bottles. These realistic bottles are made of high-quality light green transparent plastic. They can be put onto vehicles like modern tanks and military armored vehicles and can also be applied to figure models and dioramas to highly improve details and reality. It’s the best choice for making your models more interesting. No mention of whether there will be any labels included, but I'm sure they'd be easy to fabricate yourself if there aren't.
