This is my latest project finished This is Hasagawa's Hawker Hurricane Mk I This was supposed to be a an early Mk I with fabric wings from 46 Sqn in Norway 1940, and after winning a Hasagawa Hurricane/MDC combo on Ebay, the road was laid. After cutting of one wing, I did find out that the MDC wings did not fit the kit .... so much for that plan I then glued the wing back on and made a late Mk I from the battle og britain I choose Flight Lieutenant Peter Malam 'Pete' Brothers's Hurricane Mk I GZ-L P2921, 32 Sqn, Biggin Hills 1940 The seat/armour, wheels and wheelbay are from Ultracast Dark green - dark earth - Eau de nil and interior green are from WEM, aluminium are from Modelmaster, black from Humbrol Varnish is Modelmaster's Laquer I have tried salt chipping for the first time, I like the result but think there is room for improvement Decals are mostly kit decals + a few from the spare box, others building Hasagawa Hurricanes beware, the kit decals was horrible, they wrinkled up and did not respond to Daco's strong solution or my home made witchbrew The Model has been washed with Promodeller's dark dirt on the topside, and the dark dirt has been mixed with some concrete wash on the bottom. Please note, no rear wiev mirror, Fl.Lt Brothers had it removed and his fitters took a car mirror and placed it inside the canopy --
