Well it's finished!
Been hard work from the get-go but I have soldiered on. To be honest I don't feel comfortable at this level of accuracy.
I tried my best with the engine and interior but the gun sight and joystick were missing so I'm pretending it is in the service area for work. 😉
The movable surfaces with the tiny rods and metal parts were a nightmare and I wish I just stuck the pieces together as they hardly move anyway.
I painted up the cannon and machine guns but now I have painted and varnished the inspection panels I don't feel like jemmying them up again, so a waste of time really.
All in all I wasn't too upset with how it turned out until I got to the transfers!
Very fragile, breaking up, and to my mind they don't even look that realistic (squadron letters and band too white?) you'll probably note that some are a bit broken in the pics but what are you gonna do? I left off the Polish markings as the aircraft name "Ever Ready II" was translated onto the transfer sheet as " Ever Reauy N"! Shocking for an expensive model, fortunately I only paid a tenner for it. I did like the rubber tyres though.
The "glass" was very thin , almost cellophane like which cracked extraordinarily easily and I've just noticed I haven't painted the frame on the bubble <rolls eyes>.
Anyway here it is, I'll be glad to get back to 1/72 just to work on something less unwieldy.
Now where am I going to keep this ruddy great thing?
