Got this kit as a birthday gift yesterday. I'll be making a start on it from February 20th onwards. The first thing I did with the kit was to grab the spare wing light that came with it, and replace the one I damaged on my Fw 190A-8/R11. Here are the box and sprue shots. Box: Replaced light and the damaged light: Instructions and decals: Sprues:

I was very impressed when i got these 2 decal sheets from Exito, a new decal company. So i decided to do them all. The Bf 109 was finished some time ago, and the Fw 190's today. The Bf 109's are Hasegawa kits, out of box, Humbrol paints by brush. clear and satin from alclad by airbrush. Fw 190 A-3/4 Tamiya, A-5 Eduard, painted the same way as above, only the light green for the A-5, is special mix used on the eastfront, i have chosen to go with what i think is the way they most likely did lokally, mixing RLM 70 Green with RLM 04 Yellow. This i base on looking at different color slides of mainly JG 54 planes. Dark green most likely RLM 70. Cheers Jes

Pegasus Hobbies Fw 190A-3. I had bought this kit with all the pieces out of their sprues (but with all the pieces being present) and without the original decals (it came with two sets of badly stored ones). I used Eaglecals decals for the Fw 190A-2/A-3 in 1:48 to represent a plane used by Schlg 1 in the Eastern Front. You can look this plane up on Google as "Fw 190A-3 jagdbomber a." I used a Hasegawa 190 bomb rack, and a Bf 109 bomb.

Hey guys, This is my first build posted on britmodeller and I hope you all enjoy the build. I enjoyed the build apart from some of the fitting issues concerning the gun cowling and the two fuselage pieces. Its all OOB apart from some Tamyia tape seat belts and some Xtradecal swastikas, painted with brush using Humbrol acrylics and Vallejo Model Colours Hope you like it, Cam
