Hi chaps, thought I have been lurking on here long enough so thought it was time to do my first proper works in progress. The subject is the dragon ironman mk vii armour. Have been a big fan since the films came out so thought I would have a go. The obligatory box and sprue shots, although I am sure every one knows what's in the box. There are quite a few parts, and they are beautifully moulded and detailed. Was especially surprised by the detail on the internal skeleton, as you won't see an of it when it is finished. After seeing a thread on a Korean? Modelling site, I decided to make my task harder by adding led lighting. Decided to use smd LEDs for the eyes and repulsors, and a standard led for the arc reactor. Assembled the internal skeleton first, with some added holes drilled with my trusty pin vise for the wiring. Sorry for the quality of the pic, my ipad has trouble taking decent images sometimes. Drilled 2 holes in the chest section and in the arm sockets to allow the wires to run down his arms. Also drilled a hole I the crotch to allow the main power feed to travel down the right leg and into the base. Got a load of other images to add soon, but t I late now, and it is my 40th birthday today. Will try to get some more up tomorrow.
