  1. Hi, This is a 1:35 model, the Elefant, German tank destroyer. This is Italeri KIT no. 0211. I made it as movable model. Additional parts are the Friulmodel tracks, towing cable and small accessories. I little modified the front fenders and replaced the shackles for a bigger one. At the bottom I added a short video how does the model ride. P.S. I just bought photo light tent and pictures of this model was taken in the my light tent for the first time. I forgot install an antenna in the model so I took couple pictures with it after I folded in my light tent models riding...
  2. This started life in 2014 just before I relocated home and the build work was finally completed in 2017 when I had a permanent bench to go to. Since then, it has been primered, the base coat laid down, satin coat varnished, decals added, and pin washed. I have just started the first stage of weathering with oils and started Sabre models 80T six axle platform https://www.sabremodel.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=53 which it will sit on. This is unquestionably a Dragon kit produced when they were at the top of their game. Detail is excellent as is the engineering. There is a huge amount of photoetch with the option to build the fenders in PE. Fantastic for adding a little damage. The kit individual links are also good, but I had already purchased a set of Masterclub tracks (MTL35004) which really add to the build. It's been a while but fairly sure the tow cables are from Eureka Some progress pics so far
  3. Not really a construction wip more of a weathering and painting experiment, the ferdinand is an absolutely great kit by zvezda, pretty recent, and for £27.00 with link and length tracks it a total joy to construct, i built this over 3 nights complete oob , including kit tracks, and then primed , this was built as more of a paint mule so i could try out some chipping methods, no hairspray, all with a paint brush and sponge, old school, Also i need to learn to weather tracks, my sherman calliope ones in the gb are terrible, and a right let down, so i cobbled the ferdinand together to copy, learn, some techniques, the tiger initial, which I'll be building as tiger 100 from the battle of leningrad, this tiger apparently was captured intact by the soviets, this will be painted in a winter camo and I'll post the progress of this, I've got some pe coming for this from hk, theres a few bits that need to be re done , and I'll need some tracks which I'm hoping to pick up from cosford tomorrow, along with some mud and dirt effects for both kits, I'm thinking fruils for the tiger, comments on the ferdinand good and bad are sought, and appreciated, cheers Glynn
  4. A couple of models for my Canadian cousin Evan, he was supposed to have taken these with him when he left four years ago, but they got broken while his dad was packing.....Anyhow, he's back and still well into his tanks, so I've repainted them for him: Italeri 1/72 Jagdpanzer IV (This model's been a test-bed for everything from freehand airbrushing to zimmerit by hot-screwdriver! ). Unidentified Diecast 1/72 Ferdinand (Don't blame me for the build on this one.....The guy who fitted the wheels must have been drunk! ).
