  1. Good evening all, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Would their be any interest in some laser decals for the newly released 1/72 Fly Models Bristol Freighters? All the best Ray
  2. Dear fellow Britmodellers, here's my 1/72 Fly Models Fiat G.50bis, built from the box. This is a multi-media kit consisting of plastic and resin parts. I painted with Gunze/Mr.Hobby acrylics, mixed to match the Italian AF colors. Photographs by Wolfgang Rabel. A full build review will appear in an upcoming edition of Scale Aviation Modeller International. Thanks for your interest, best greetings from Vienna! Roman
  3. Finally got around to starting. Nice Hurricane to celebrate the 100 years of the RAF Work starts with the cockpit just for a change. This feels like a limited run kit, but the fit isn't terrible mix of PE, Resin and Plastic Then on with the resin seat and belts Peter
  4. Hi, I found today in aviationmegastore web page an announcement from 2008 (!) about "future release" of Caproni Ca-111 http://www.aviationmegastore.com/caproni-ca111-72002-fly-models-fly72002-scale-modelling/product/?shopid=LM4b4121de8b1a764a732c64607f&action=prodinfo&parent_id=212&art=80400 Is there any knowledge, thay FLY will continue Caproni family, after Ca 101 with 7 and 9 cylinder engines they will issue also Ca 111 and perhaps Ca 133 and Ca 148? Regards J-W
  5. Finally getting around to posting this build which I've been working on for about a month on and off. All being well it should be completed by the deadline for this GB. Thoughts on the kit: I'm pretty happy with it all said. The detail is refined and crisp, the resin adds a certain something, and it goes together well for a limited run kit. The only bits that I've had significant trouble with have been fitting the tub to the fuselage and installing the instrument panel, both of which were probably my fault. For reasons best known to myself I decided to try to force the fuselage together as I found the cockpit floor seemed to be a bit wide, and I ended up with horrendous cracking all the way up one side of the fuselage. I stabilised this with some CA and made good with filler and you can't see anything now so all's well that ends well. The other problem was the instrument panel, I think I fitted it at the wrong stage and really struggled to get it into the cockpit. I ended up having to shave bits off the edges to get it to sit right, it's still not great but passes casual inspection. I realise that the panel is incorrect for a T5 but I'm not too fussed as the canopy with be closed. I've just sprayed the intakes and will be fitting them next. After that, it's decalling and adding aerials etc. Cheers Liam
  6. Well, here we are. I'll be building the Fly JP 5 like Filler. All being well I'll be starting some time in the next few weeks once my Wessex is completed. I'm looking forward to adding this one to the collection and will appreciate and tips, advice, and feedback as I go along. My first impressions of the kit are that it's nicely moulded with sharp detail, I've not built a limited run kit before so no doubt I'll come across a few issues but it can't be any worse than some of the 50 year old airfix kits that I've done before.
  7. Hi all This rolled off the production line today. Its a rebuild. I built it in DHL Colors about 3 years back, i posted it on her and a lot of people probably cried! I stripped the paint off and the glue, it then sat untouched for a couple months. I rebuilt it early last year, it isnt my best, but its been sitting on the shelf of desper ever since. I decided it waas time to get it finished, so i looked for a scheme i liked, saw the two six one and ordered away, today the decals arrived. On the aircraft straight away, couldnt resist. Not my best, but im happy with it. Thanks Enjoy Thanks
