After finishing my Tunnan I was looking for another project from the early days of jet propulsion. I went down the list of the British Classics like the Hunter and the Vampire, drifted in to the USSR and the Mig 15 before finally crossing the Atlantic to see what the US were up to. Having looked at A4's (how much!!!???), Panthers, Skyrays and Sabres I can across the Cougar (no laughing at the back ). I'd never seen it before, but the story of adding swept wings to the Panther caught my imagination. A bit more digging lead me to the TF-9J. I have always had a soft spot for two seat versions of single seaters, particularly if they end up in combat. It may look like the result of a Hunter and a Buccaneer having a night of passion and then trying to pretend the offspring was a Skyhawk, but I like it. The kit seems to be pretty good value including some sensible etch and mice looking parts. I have seen some mixed reviews of the complexity of the build and the plastic being a bit odd, but my overall impression is that it should build up into a nice if slightly unusual aircraft. Now for the obligatory box and sprue shots. I am just waiting for some paint to arrive and we should be good to go over the weekend. One question, is it worth adding aftermarket bang seats and if so which ones? I am going fro the H&MS 13 scheme, so I think I am looking for MB Mk 5 seats. I can't find and exact match, but Pavla have some for an F3H Demon that look about right. Knowing next to nothing about the world of Ejection Seats, do any of the Britmodeller experts have any guidance? Many Thanks in advance Yeoman
