Hello all. This is my Eduard Weekend Edition 109G-2 which was built out of the box except for the markings which came from the MMM publication Camouflage and Markings no.4 and fuse wire for brake cables. Straightforward build except for a couple of issues, namely inserting the gun troughs from underneath rather than dropped in from the top and the cockpit fuel pipe which snapped on the sprue meaning I needed to attach it to the fuselage directly (much better in my opinion anyway). I experimented with the seatbelt application. Provided as a transfer, I applied it to pre painted 5 thou plastic card and bent it to shape. Surprisingly it worked rather well. The transfers were a delight. Minimum dunking in water and using Humbrol’s own setting solution, resulted in them settling down on a pre glossed surface very nicely with no silvering. A rattlecan matt varnish took care of the minimal carrier film. Painted using Lifelolor acrylics from a dedicated Finnish Air Force set, I found the yellow to be extremely translucent and certainly needed the white undercoat. The darker colours only required a couple of coats. Here are the results! and finally my perfect sized Haribo box to store it! Thanks for looking Trevor

Here another project, a Mirage III CJ Eduard 1/48 Weekend Edition. The model does not bring photogravures, resins, masks or other things, just the plastic and that's it. Even the assembly instructions are on recycled paper and the placement of the decals is printed on the box. Like almost everything is in good manufacturing Eduard. I hope you enjoy it Keep in touch. . . . . . . .
