Ever since I was a kid, I have been in love with John Delorean's master piece. Even though it was tarnished with drugs money I still though it was one the most awesome cars ever designed. It still makes my jaw drop even now. So 5 years ago at Stafford Castle's classic car show, not only was there a Delorean, but also a kit of one from BBTF2. At the time, full of enthusiasm I made a start, then life hit, and hard......time to put away the kit build stuff and sort my self out. So 5 years later, it's still in the stash and I thought now is the time to finish it off. The build log can be found here - So the finished Build, hope you like? You can;'t really see the interior through the windows, but Here is the finished interior prior to placing the shell on. I think the rear light cluster needs a little tidying up though? The slight issue with dripping cleaning fluid on the bonnet seems to have been sorted, only in certain light, and at a certain angle, haha! Hop you all enjoyed and liked the build? It's not the best build of a Delorean, but I enjoyed it non the less. For the next build.....something clandestine......something stealthy.....something straight out of the imagination of a model builder that was scarily close to reality

And now for something completely different......especially from me. I started this build about 5 years ago and set it aside for some reason, I;m not a big car builder, but it is something I am willing to give a bash and I absolutely LOVE the DMC12 So to give you a little taster of whats to come.....and I will try my best to do this awesome piece of automotive design justice. The kit it self is the Polar Lights "Snap fit" and is reasonably good. Picked up at a car show at Stafford Castle 5 years ago for a fraction of the price. I had started with mat painting most of the interior parts black ready for some colour. I had begun the dash board, but it will need re-doing I think? I do not plan on painting the body panels of the Delorean, perhaps maybe the bonnet / hood titanium silver as a slight variation in colour, as the finish on the shell is actually very good at for the brushed 316 stainless steel. There is some chrome parts for the wheels and rear lights. I am unsure weather to build the original time machine, or the flying DeLorean? That's it really at this point. The same place i left it 5 years ago.....more to follow!

Here is my finished 1/24 Delorean from the Back to the Future movie 👍 Started this one back in April 2018 and after much detailing too make it look more realistic to the movie, I finally finish this month (September 2018). Hope you all like this one, my first finished build for many many years 😊 Feel free to check out the construction photos of this build over on my Facebook page: Scalemodel Madness

Just wondering Has there been, or is there a 1/24 or 1/25 kit of a standard stock DeLorean - a Non-'Back to the Future' version, so to speak? Cheers Hans J
