  1. Saab J35Oe Draken as delivered to Austrian Airforce in 1988 1/48 Eduard Special/Hasegawa plastic XXM full length intakes Aires nozzle , flaps Master pitot Decals are a mix of Eduard, Hasegawa, IPMS Austria (none are perfect on its own...) thanks for passing by, if you are interested in more detail, please visit the WIP thread in the excellent Nordic Group Build II and of course its aircraft related gallery so, here we go: officially first Drakens in Austria as delivered in 1988 to Vienna airport model and its original boxing... be aware that if you want the Austrian Draken build as delivered, no MKII modifications! (no chaff and flare dispenser on the rear cone, no RWR fin tip, no Sidewinder capability (was always wing mounted by the way, unlike the Swedish F/J)), and in the very beginning no large dayglow numbers or Squadron markings. I do not know when those were added... and takeoff with a loud bang! thanks for comments, critics, etc! cheers, Werner
  2. S-70A-42 Black Hawk Österreichisches Bundesheer ~Austrian Airforce Italeri 1/48 Eduard PE reference: http://www.doppeladler.com/oebh/s70a.htm its a bit daring to participate yet again in a GB, but then.... so here is my entry, hope to start her soon! that's what I have so far.... don't know if there is a lot more out there......
  3. Oh-58b KIOWA light armed reconnaissance helicopter of the Austrian armed forces or Bundesheer Italeri 1/48, OOB with spare decals Its armament is composed solely of a 7.62mm minigun on the port side. It is still used as of today in this role and the only armed helicopter in Austria apart from the side mounted MG used in the Blackhawk it was recently seen quite a lot in international exercises often with fancy camouflage schemes! Her one is depicted in its more usual green brown: and a special one for patch enthusiasts:
  4. more or less finished finally! some fast pics, more, in hopefully sunny Austrian Skys to follow soon build thread: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234943730-saab-105oe-sk60-trainer-172-decals/?hl=saab hope you like this small little bugger!
  5. Hi, from the in progress build: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234929019-austrian-eurofighter-148-j-10-parallel-build-decaled/ it is now kind of ready for some photos, and as the weather was nice today.... here you are: Austrian Airforce Patches from 1st & 2nd Staffel, they share 15 Eurofighter Tranche 1 between them. Decals are mainly Revell, national insignia are from IPMS Austria and Decalfactory. some magic hand removal: Hope you like it!
  6. Hello, although I did not fully finish my Mig-23 till now,(http://www.britmodel...topic=234918437) I couldn't resist starting something new, and hopefully more straightforward! Revell Eurofighter 1/48 with additional decals from an Austrian company, decalfactory.at the rest OOB. it will be 7L -WE or -WL in single tank configuration, as recently seen at the Nato Air Day in Ostrava: Maybe I add some Iris-Ts... As you can see, the red an the national insigna is slightly different, I don't know yet which one is more accurate! Any ideas? Currently i am battling with the airbrake... its fit is only mediocre... Thanks for looking, input always wellcome!
