Good old Airfix 1/48 Ju-87R Stuka
Dim_Thessalonica posted a topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Hi everybody, This is the latest addition to my collection. It's Airfix's 1/48 Ju-87 old mould. This was a pleasant and relatively trouble-free construction (bar the few rivets lost during sanding that I had to remake). Simple and straightforward, this is a kit I appreciated a lot, and I would choose it again, even over newer productions. It's almost OOP, the only things I added were Eduard belts, and micro-tube for the canons. Painted it with Gunze Mr.Color paints, a charm to spray. Being a fan of small air forces, I chose to dress it with the colours of Royal Bulgarian Air force; for this I used the relevant Kora decals. Hope you like it Dimitris K.- 16 replies

Hi there, Dos anyone knows about sources or pics of Gustavs in Bulgarian post war service, before most of them were send to Yugoslavia ? Regards, Chris. -
Hi, Next of old and odd Germans - from my current (2016) "production"... Focke Wulf FW 56 Stosser (Sparrowhawk in translation - the name of bird Accipiter nisus ). Kit by Heller, very old - mould from seventies of past century, was in my stash for about 25 years, only minor changies in engine inside done. Painting scheme from profile published in a book "Sojusznicy Luftwaffe" ("Luftwaffe Alles") - by J.Rajlich, Z.Stojczew, Z. Lalak. Machine from School of Advanced Piloting in Karlov, likely about 1942-43. Comment welcome Best regards Jerzy-Wojtek

We looked after my parents house the other night and we found some old photo albums. These from the flight to and from Bulgaria brought back some memories, I was 13 at the time. We went when it was World Cup USA 94. As England weren't there we supported Bulgaria who made the semis (I think). The whole place was buzzing, especially when they beat Germany TU-154 at Manchester Airport. This aircraft was actually the flight to Varna, we went on a similar 154 to Bourgas A jump now to the return flight to Manchester. Shots taken at Bourgas airport Boarding the plane for the flight home, my dad took some useful pictures even though I didn't know at the time. I've since got the Welsh 1/144 TU-154 in this livery Flying home East coast UK, 99% sure this is north of Hull....... .......As I swear this is the Hull estuary M57 and Denton, pre M60 ring road M63 (which became the M60 Stockport Pyramid and M63 Stockport again About to touch down Manchester Airport shots Cheers Chris
