One from the past, finished 13Dec1981. Built not quite OOB as a USAF ADC F-106A "Updated" Delta Dart, "Bones Crusher"-90094 of the 87th FIS post 1972. A very good kit (for the time) that resulted in a very enjoyable build and IMHO one of the best models I've ever built. 😎 To make an updated "Six" I had to fit a Vulcan cannon in a gondola in the weapons bay made from a Hasegawa F-4E early cannon fairing pinched from the 5000th Phantom kit (it didn't need it ) and a length of Slater's plastic tube, a frame less canopy simply made from the kit's canopy top frame detail being gently polished out, data-link aerials, anti-col light and intake from plastic card and Slater's plastic rod as well as detailing the cockpit and pilot. The weathering went well and I like how it came out. Just didn't know that "Sixes" were kept virtually pristine during their ADC service and the "weathering was inappropriate. The only problem now is the very noticeable "yellowing" and lightening of the Hasegawa decals, very annoying and seems to be a problem with their decals. This has high-lighted where I mixed my own colour match for the red on the bull's head on the tail and painted in the missing red areas around the tail where the decals didn't reach 😨 DSC06424 26. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06421 23. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06415 17. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06414 16. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06401 3. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06405 7. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06436 38. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr DSC06428 30. 90094s by Neil, on Flickr My two Hasegawa deltas together, DSC06398 31. 90094 & 070884s by Neil, on Flickr Hope you enjoyed this dip into the past, Regards all 🍻🍻 FAA 😎😎
