  1. Hi, This is Blackburn Ripon II F of 4/LeLv 6, September 1942, Finland. 3. Right, Nordic GB is here again and it's a perfect excuse to build finnish planes for the rest of the year My summer has been real bad when it comes to modelling - I have tons of unfinished builds (and project logs ) but maybe I will get my mojo back during this GB. Now, this is probably not the mojo-build so maybe I won't start with this one, but I'm still planning to build it eventually. Here it is, Valmet Vihuri by Broplan in 1:72 Yes, I have been warned Inside of the box. It's looking bit rough 😐 Vacuform canopy. Second piece - just in case. Good. My plan for this GB is to build HävLv 13 planes (Fighter Squadron 31), It was located here in Pori after the WW2 - which just happens to be my home town. It says 'Tre Bröder' on the side. Plane was funded via donations of three brothers - Vilhelm, Gustav Adolf and Bogislaw Klingspor - hence the name 'Tre Bröder' - three brothers. Top photo is of the VH-9 just after it arrived in Pori brand new. Below photos after it's accident in 4th of july, 1955. While it would be interesting to do the brand new model, but I think I will model it bit later in life but sometime before the accident.
  4. Good day ! Allow me to present a model of this bison to your court. An old Polish LWS-6 ZUBR gun from BROPLAN. I was interested in the prototype itself and the desire to overcome this set. I didn't have anything to do with vacushki before, and I don't think I'll contact them in the future either. I was busy with the model for a long time, I had to finish a lot, think, experiment. At the end, I picked up the covid and tried to finish it without improvement. You can read about the prototype here: https://topwar.ru/22676-polskiy-sredniy-bombardirovschik-p-30-lws-6-zubr.html In General, I think that the set won, although sometimes it made me think. At the end, a few photos of the construction site. Painted as usual Mr. Hobby and Valejio. Smeared it with art oil. Enjoy your viewing. Sincerely, Mikhail

  11. Hi, Norwegian recce and light bomber hydroplane, Høver MF 11. After German attack on 9th April 1940 Norwegian airplanes, which survived, were all camouflaged. There are some photos showing those schemes like here: On left there is also He-115. The machine which stands behind it, with partially overpainted number (only "8" left) was subject of my model. I know two kits of MF 11, I did it from vacu kit by Broplan (second is resin one by Choroszy Modelbau) Here she is: This was my third build within float planes and flying boats GB. Remaining two were Blackburn Riopon in Finish colours (Broplan vacu) and Douglas DT 2 C in Norwegian livery (both were on RFI some weeks ago). Here are all three: Comments welcome Regards Jerzy-Wojtek

  15. I've finished battling with the 1/72nd scale BroPlan vacform kit of the S.E.161R Languedoc. The mouldings themselves were very nice, with crisp surface detail, but as with other kits from this manufacturer that I've built the plastic is just a smidge thicker than fag paper, and it's very easy to sand right through it. Therefore great care is needed with building these kits, and too much filling and sanding will only create a whole lot more! The decals were appalling and broke up and were lacking in colour density, so I used a mixture of ModelDecal and hand painted insignias such as the fin stripes. The undercarriage and propellers were quite crude injection-moulded parts, but they cleaned up ok. A very challenging subject, but I was pleased with the end result, and as far as I'm aware this is the only kit available of this interesting aircraft. I used Xtracolour aluminium for the main airframe and Humbrol paints for the detail parts. Clear-fix was used for the windows as none were provided in the kit. Rob

  19. Here's an oddball for you- A French Potez XXV in Spanish Republican markings. The Potez XXV was actually built in pretty good numbers in the mid 30s and served with many foreign air forces. Broplan has kits of a couple different versions, this one depicts the A2 I believe. The kit looked great on the sheet and went together nicely. There were no white metal parts included so I scratchbuilt the Scarff ring and landing gear and used the kit moldings for the wheels and propeller. I also built a complete interior just for the fun of it because not much can be seen now! Thanks for looking! Dan
