  1. I am building the AZ models Breda Ba65 in 1/72 scale. I have built the cockpit and shut the fuselage but behind the pilots seat there is a gaping empty hole all the way down to where the wing centre section will be. I am pretty certain this is the bomb bay for 4 vertical stowed bombs but there's nothing in the kit to fit. I would like to scratch something to fill the gap but I can't find any pictures of what it all looks like. A photo of the cockpit from the top or side or even better a line drawing would get me started with the plasticard. I have googled but all images seem to be from ground level and don't show any details.
  2. Hello All, I have been building a Breda 65 from RCR, build thread here. This is a short run kit, with the usual mix of resin, PE, white metal and, yes, plastic, with instructions that show parts magically coming together to be glued in mid-air next to other parts. Oh, and decals that shatter on contact with water. Actually, it wasn't that bad, although a certain amount of "fun" was had to make it all join up. Here we go: Thanks for looking, Adrian
  3. Hello All, I have always had a soft spot for the Breda 65 and I managed to snag the RCR kit on Ebay recently. I'm starting this build in a hotel in Holland where I am installing my daughter into accommodation at the start of her university course. I am now quite familiar with the driving directions to IKEA in, coincidentally, Breda (NL). The box: The parts, including plastic, resin, white metal, PE and steel tube for the gun barrels: The surface detail is very fine with quite a lot of thick flash and some interesting sprue gates. I thought I'd start with the wings for a change, and so I cleaned up the separate flaps to fit. There is some PE to put in the undercarriage compartment but I'm going to leave all that to when I install the undercarriage. The aileron hinges will need a touch more scoring to differentiate them from the regular panel lines: The wings and the body fit very well when cleaned up and the trailing edges are commendably thin: I am going to build the interior detail (provided in PE but I may substitute plastic scraps instead) separately and insert it from underneath. The cowling comes in three sections which are pretty nice once the huge sprue gates are cleaned off: The cowl actually fits together very well. I wanted to start with a nice round cowling and I will fettle the engine to fit: So far I'm very impressed with the kit. Thanks for looking, Adrian
  4. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Let me present to your attention my next model. This is Italian light bomber and attack aircraft, weak in parameters, but very charismatic in appearance))). Unfortunately, I can not say anything good about the model manufacturer. I had a lot to modify, add and manufacture again. But this model has no alternative manufacturer in the 72nd scale.
  5. Hi, Second Italian bird from archive shelf for today - Breda Ba 65. Wiki tells about her things like that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breda_Ba.65 This is vacu kit by Rareplane, I made it about 20 years ago. The airplane was a ground attack machine, which was rather succesfull - 218 build (for pre-war time it was not few) and exported to some countries. Here markings are from 101 Sq, 5 Stormo, Regia Aeronautica from Autumn 1939 - spring 1940 period. Decals from drawer. Now there is a kit available (or not?) by Azur. Regards and comments welcome Jerzy-Wojtek
