Hello Guys, This is the ninth completed cat from my WIP here, covered on pages 19-21 - This is just a bland line bird, the type that doesn’t get much love from modellers or decal companies. The markings are made up from all different sources and some had to be adjusted with a steady hand and some enamels... This bird was finished in Mission models acrylics using a maskol postshade technique to get the corrosion control & overpainted markings look. The weathering was mainly done with Mig Ammo stuff. The build features resin & etch upgrades from either aftermarket parts or my own modified and/or mastered/scratched parts from several sources to improve the base kit. I tried to depict it similar as in this photo, where it appears it’s recently changed hands from vf143 to vf103. I took a bit of artistic license adding some extra ghost grey parts (eg one drop tank & lau-7) and ghost grey touch ups to add some more interest. What’s certainly visible in the picture is the overpainted tail griffins and then the ghost grey nose gear door and ventral fin patch. I added the overpainted look to the area of the where the modex and crew names would have been too. The weapons are inert/captive types as often seen when at NAS places, mainly to add a bit of colour (blue) to the buid. Reference picture used: 161164 in its previous life. Overview and products used for scale: Now, the pictures were took in sequential walkaround style order, but when uploaded to postimage they have all been jumbled up, apologies! (And also for the excessive quantity) Thanks for looking! As always any observations please feel free to comment. Now onto number ten... Cheers, Tony
