  9. Another kit I build long ago of which I took pictures some days ago is the Czech Models Bv 40 in fictional livery. "Nachtmahr" is an old German term for nightmare. I thought an all black sailing plane would be almost like a stealth fighter at night intercepts - which would have been quite a nightmare I guess. The decal is DIY printed and the paper used is a bit on the heavy side, which is more apparent in the pictures than in real life. The Kettenkrad is the 1:48 Tamiya kit borrowed from my Lippisch build for adding a sense of scale. René

  11. After many years of trying to dig up this particular kit I was lucky at a fleamarket a couple of weeks ago. I found it together wither with an old Airfix Ju 52 and He 177. The built was pretty easy except for masking the canopy, which I botched in some places and the fact I couldn't get all the crew members in. I guess I glued the flight deck in too high, so the dudes bonked their heads on the canopy. Anyways so it now only has the rear gunner preparing his MG while the pilots seat is still vacant and got some seatbelts made of tape. Hope you enjoy this Airfix veteran!

  14. Well, I was talking to my mate Chris yesterday and the subject of the BV 141 came up, with Chris saying he'd quite like a 1:48 one, shame there isn't one. Aha, I said, I think about 12 -15 years ago I built one. An HiPM kit if I remember correctly, It's in a box somewhere, I'll see if I can find it. So here is an 'oldie' from my collection, built somewhere around the year 2000. As I remember the cockpit 'nacelle' halves were moulded in clear plastic, and there was a fair bit of resin & etch in the kit. So this is what I found, still undamged after all these years; It's a big ol' bird, Fw-190 for comparison; Odd looking thing isn't it Cheers John
