  3. Hi guys, Thought I would get some photos up of the Mach2 Argosy. It won't be a full on WIP, just little updates from time to time. Booms just pushed on for photo. and where it's at now, that centre wing section has been a PITA & will need a rescribe, but other than that it's been an OK build. My weakness has always been building 'neat' and finishing seams off perfectly.... but this time round it's looking a lot better... More, soon....................
  4. Greetings all! Im pleased to show you my latest the well-known and oft-built Matchbox 1-72 scale Armstrong-Whitworth Meteor, built in this instance as the NF.14 variant. This, the last in a series of night-fighter variants of the Meteor, really only saw active service for about 2 years ( I think from 1954-56), largely as an interim solution prior to replacement by Gloster's own Javelin. Common to all the NF variants were performance problems due to the extra aircrew and associated radar equipment, meaning that climb-rates and performance-at-altitude etc., were unfavourable when compared to

  6. Firstly apologies to anyone who came here hoping to see the new Airfix Whitley, this is a totally different kettle of fish! Not for me the accurate and finely detailed Airfix version but the horrible, how much flash can you get on a sprue, Frogspawn version that I bought on ebay about a week before the Airfix announcement. So curses on Airfix and their stash spoiling ways I built it anyway and all things considered it doesn't look too bad.
