  1. Armstrong Whitworth Argosy - Air Anglia (classicairlines.com decals) 1/144 MikroMir The Armstrong Whitworth Argosy was designed in the mid 1950’s as a medium range freight transport. The pod and boom layout was chosen to give an unobstructed cargo bay. With the cockpit on top of the pod and large swing doors at the front and rear, loading and unloading was greatly eased. It was designed so that when the aircraft was parked, the floor was at the average height of flatbed trucks of the day. The civil versions were to be found working as far apart as the United State
  2. Third in our series of walkarounds of under appreciated gems is the mighty Argosy. This lorry of the skies resides at RAF Cosford in Shropshire. Lancs may have had rear machine guns but this aircraft trumps that with a 25 pounder! It would be great to know if anybody here used to work on them.
  3. Hello fellow modellers, finally there is this rare occasion in the space-time continuum when the wife and kids are away, I don't have to work and I find enough will power to start a kit, so let's start while motivation is at max level....I think you are all familiar with the kit, it's the... i tried every possible way to upload the pic....does it work?
  4. Hi guys, Thought I would get some photos up of the Mach2 Argosy. It won't be a full on WIP, just little updates from time to time. Booms just pushed on for photo. and where it's at now, that centre wing section has been a PITA & will need a rescribe, but other than that it's been an OK build. My weakness has always been building 'neat' and finishing seams off perfectly.... but this time round it's looking a lot better... More, soon....................

    Argosy

Hi! I just saw that Hannants now has Micro-Mir 1/144 Argosy in store. There are two versions: 100 series and 200 series. If I were make a RAF Transport Command version, which one of these should I get. Has Micro-Mir announced a RAF version? Cheers Hans J
