Alright, so I've been a lurker here long enough (it's even worse since I'm a host :/ )
Anyhow, I've finally managed to find the time to get a start on my build(s?). To start with, it'll be an old Airfix Westland Sea King mostly OOTB. There is no interior in this old beastie, so I'm looking of any ways to obscure the inside (without being obvious about it). Any ideas guys?
I opened the box to find about half the parts still on the sprue, the rest rattling around the box. I hope I've got everything. This kit is moulded in te horrible bright yellow plastic, but I guess I'll just have to deal with that...
Anyway, enough waffling about, here's my rather pathetic progress so far.
These were taken during the original cockpit dry fit. Look at all that incredibly invisible detail!

First idea for cabin-obscuration, thoughts? (It's going to be a curtain)
First coat of paint. It's looks horrible now, but after a couple more coats it'll be fine. I'm using humbrol 140, a lightish, slightly blued gray-like colour. Is this anywhere close to reality?
Cheers guys, any advice or input appreciated.
