  1. Hi to all. This is my recent finish, an old MPC kit. Is quite spartan, positive panels but easy to asemble, is a snap kit. I only added some detalis for the pilot. I tried extensive use of pre shading effect. I finished with Testors and Tamiya paints. I hope you like it. Regards, Pablo
  2. I'm just going to sneak this in here if I may.... Haven't done much painting in the past few months, but after finally finishing off a PR Mossie have been getting into the swing of things again. Decided to make a start on this in between tackling a Tamiya Corsair. As you'd expect, there's not many parts But with it being Bandai it's beautifully moulded and engineered. Although there's two in the box, I'll just be doing one of them to start with. Still toying with the paint scheme to go for, but I'm
  3. Hi folks - I see there’s been a lot of A-wing related content on here recently so I hope you still like Rebel starfighters that have that particular designation I’m building this Bandai kit in an effort to do something different. I’ve just built ww2 fighters since I got back into the hobby and wanted to do something that didn’t have camo on it. I’ve had this kit in my stash for months so this fit the bill... Instead of doing an A-wing with that colour scheme (you know the one) I wanted to do something that was abit different- as in not necessarily canon - so mine is going to be a
  4. I've had a couple of Bandai's Vehicle Model kits sitting around half finished for much of this year (a state that's been all too common with several of my builds in 2018). I'm currently trying (probably in vain) to get several projects wrapped up before the end of the year and, as these didn't require all that much work, they were the first to get finished. A-Wing Vehicle Model 010 Up first is the little 1/144 A-Wing, finished in the red/white movie scheme. The weathering on this is a little rougher than I'd like, but it is what it is, and at least I've got it done.
  5. Hi everyone. I hope you've all had a great Christmas. I've started a new model over the last few weeks; an AMT/ERTL A-Wing. It's quite a basic kit out of the box, and i'm planning to do very little in the way of customisation. Having said that, the two parts I like the least are the raised panel lines, and the terrible pilot. I've never tried scribing panel lines before, but I'm giving it a go on this one. In several places I've slipped and messed up, so had to fill I'm a few bits and pieces, but even though it's a bit clumsy in places, it still looks bet
  6. Bandai's latest addition to their Star Wars range. For my money this is the best one they've done so far, with the fit being perfect, and the breakdown of parts being completely logical. This one isn't lit but it would be a pretty simple job to do, as Bandai have conveniently moulded the engine inserts in clear plastic. The included Turbolaser turret is the icing on the cake. OK, it's not to scale with the A-Wing, but that would have been unfeasible anyway, but it makes a great display piece in it's own right. Everything's painted predominantly with a mix of Gunze and Tamiya and weathered wit
