  1. Good evening everyone! I hope you're all keeping well? After almost 5 weeks of work (and more money than I should probably admit to) I've finally completed my rendition of an American Airlines Boeing 777-300ER in 1:144 scale: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I could write a lot about this build (and I have on the Work in Progress thread), but I shall try and keep it relatively short and sweet. Just over a year ago I took my first flight, in an attempt to get over my fear of both flyin
  2. I have always wanted to build a British Airways B777-200 model, but didn’t want to pay nearly £50 for a kit that I have heard has several issues with it. I thought I would take the plunge and leap in to my first attempt at a conversion. I have always been very apprehensive about the thought of picking up a saw and making cuts to the already pristine fuselage sections, so it played with my anxiety a bit. I purchased the Revell 777-300ER kit, my razor saw and sat there saying to myself, “I can do this”. I’d been given a few tips about how to convert the 777-300ER kit down to a -200. Wi
  3. I present my Revell Boeing 777-300ER in ANA’s Star Wars BB-8 livery JA789A. This is a really cool scheme, along with the other Star Wars adorned jets. I read that not only is the exterior painted to depict a particular character from the movie series, but it also continues the theme inside with items such as headrest covers and napkins portraying the characters. The build was a simple OOB, with the after market decals purchased from Jon at 8A Decals. The build was straight forward enough, and easy to complete. I have the Zvezda 773 also, which is going to go in to Eva Air’s ‘Hello
  4. Hello everyone... Total noob to airliners and need to ask this. SWMBO is a huge "Hello kitty fan" and collects all things H/K. I've seen this airplane, https://www.istockphoto.com/photo/eva-air-boeing-777-300er-hello-kitty-airplane-taipei-taoyuan-air-gm499811910-80451915 twice this week at O'Hare airport in Chicago. Its an "Eva air" 777-300. Does anyone know of a decal set and a smallish model for me to build as a gift. Or maybe a 1/400 diecast ? Dennis
  5. Friends, I'm planning to make some headway on my Revell 777-300ER. I had started this kit months ago, but it sat shelved due to work and life priorities. I am also working on a Zvezda 767-300, and learned by working on that model that I absolutely will never again use the clear plastic styrene window pieces unless I'm trying to have the windows open. To that end I cracked open the 777, which I had already closed, and ripped out the clear styrene to be replaced with apoxie sculpt. Having left the apoxie to cure overnight, the plan this morning is to re-seal the fuselage
  6. Apparently news of this has surfaced at Telford, although I haven't seen anything official yet. A re-box of the Zvezda kit with decals for KLM. Anyone seen any more? Cheers, Andrew
