As I finish off the Meteor I'm going to be researching ready for the next kit, this lovely Revell Canberra in 1/72, before I do another Meteor. The big 3 sqn tail markings look great. Has anyone built this kit, any issues I need to consider?

Hi This is the third of my backlog of models for RFI. I needed something 'easy' after building the Revell Inc MIG-21 so opted for a Hurricane IIC from Academy. This is my first Academy kit and I found it an enjoyable build. I built this straight OOB, only correcting the serial number. The decal for the 3 Squadron RAF example is shown as ZB464, but should be Z3464. I am a long way from mastering weathering so this Hurricane looks as if it has been in hard battle for some time and not been subject to any cleaning. Thanks for looking. Graeme

I'm building a Tempest from 3 Squadron that flew over Normandy in late June of '44. My first inclination was to put bombs on it. But all the photo's I've come across show wing tanks or nothing ? No bombs, bomb-racks, or rockets ? So I'm now thinking wing tanks or clean ? What's the collective thought on this ? I cannot remember who the resident Tempest experten are ? I think the gentlemans first name is Chris. So if anyone knows answers or can help with this I'd really appreciate it. Dennis

Hi all I've just been reading Desmond Scott's book 'One More Hour'. There is a pic of him on his Hawker Hurricane IIc, coded 'Q'. 'O'? Are there any other pictures of it so that I might find out the last code letter and serial number? He appears to have been flying with 3 squadron from Martlesham Heath in 1941. Thanks in anticipation. M.M.

Hi all and have finished my build for the inflight diorama that Chief Wiggum and myself are concocting of a Typhoon intercepting a Russian Tu-95. Revell's Typhoon in 1/72 with a full QRA loadout. The extra missiles are courtesy of JasonB (thanks) and the pylons from the spares box....(please don't look too closely) Not my best build I'll admit and if there are any gaffes in there apparent to the Typhoon experts, please let me know! will spot some gaffes and happy to have her finished. Will post some pictures of the final diorama once that's done too! All the best, Dermot
