Good morning everyone... This is my second build from the heller classic group build. It is kit #214 Hawk 75. I opted to do it in a prototype camouflage pattern displayed on September 1st 1939 at the Cleveland air races. The whole squadron was painted up in multiple patterns and colors. This is aircraft #67. The kit is out of box and was airbrushed Aluminum first with stars added. Its hard to see them but the stars are still visible through the camouflage. The camouflage was applied by brush just like the original was. Please feel free to ask questions, post comments, or visit the build thread. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235080677-a-colorful-hawk-kit-214/ Dennis

Hello everybody... This will be my second model in the build, it is Heller’s classic Hawk75/P-36. I have two sets of original decals but doubt I will go French. Here is a color profile of the French option. I was planning on build a USAAC P-36 from Selfridge Field Michigan in 1939. I will be doing it in an experimental camouflage tested during the war games that year. There were multiple aircraft and each had a different pattern applied in water soluble paints. Here is a color guide used that year though on a different aircraft. The only thing I would be missing is the unit badge of the Eagle in the red disk. Please feel free to ask questions, post comments, and or add thoughts. Dennis

Help Im planning on doing this P-36 from the 27th Ps. in 1939. The camouflage was used on planes for war games at selfridge army air field. Does anyone have a clear version of this sheet ? Or can give me a best guess to the colors ? Ive got Forest/Dark green, O.D., White, Sand, and Neutral grey. I have this one also which share colors to a degree but Im not sold on the dark blue ? Any Help is definitely appreciated and needed ? Dennis PS - Maybe @Dana Bell might know something ?
