  1. The completed 6ème Regiment de Chevau-Légers Lanciers (FRench 6th Line Lancers) The little fellows don't look too bad.
  2. The 3rd Uhlan regiment named after Erzherzog Carl Ludwig Johann Joseph Laurentius von Österreich, Herzog von Teschen (5 September 1771 – 30 April 1847) A delight to paint these little fellows.
  3. Here we go again oo-oo-ooh! Newline's latest offering of Grenzers. Now all filed and primed. And drilled Onwards ny children!
  4. Here's my little band of Hungarian Hussars ot the 5th Regiment Ott (later Radetzky) Some of the horses are still a little dusty from flocking so please bear with me. And next up on the table will be.............?
  5. The intermission is over. I'm back from the frozen north to the frozen midlands and my paint brushes. A nice little band of Austrian Hussars to have fun with. Once again as with the vast majority of my Austro-Hungarians they're Newline Designs 20mm. The trickiest operation of these is this.... It looks much better drilled out.
  6. A few more skirmishers to add to my Austrians. You'll notice I've been making tufts again with my static grass applicator Pingauer Schützen Salzburg City Schützen Upper Austria Schützen Batallion des voluntaires de Mahrish Legion de l'archduc Charles Grenz There will now be a short intermission.
  7. I've started these Schützen and Grenzer. It's not a Grimm's fairy tale, they're Austrian Infantry. I've already filed, drilled and primed them so we're ready to roll I'm doing small skirmishing groups from four regiments. And the horn works
  8. Here are my little Austrian dragoons painted as the 5th Regiment. With the light uniforms the light needed for the photographs has bleached them out a little. There's actually no white paint on show. The grass tufts I made myself. I bought a static grass applicator and the tufts cost practically nothing so I can add as many as I like Onwards!!!!!
  9. I think I'll just have time to get these done while I'm waiting for the extra Austrian Landwehr figures. MrsG has chosen the regiment so it's a goer. I've cleaned them off and levelled the bases so the next operation is impalement
  10. Another project off the 10 year plan Please pardon the number of photos but there are troops from three locations . Krain Styria Lower Austria I hope you enjoy them.
  11. I had a little time left after the Siege mortars and these little chappies were shouting at me from the top of my printer so............... They're primed and ready to go.
  12. The little fellows are, I believe, finished. They're now chasing after d'Erlon's Corps.
  13. I was waiting for paint and glue to dry so out came the files and I started preparing another Newline set. These fellows look very dashing but that's a tease as I'm only posting the horses for now. That shows where they're from anyway
  14. The latest to hit the table, Austrian horse artillery. As you can see, I'll impale anything
  15. I've had the mini-files and the drills out so next up, a squadron of Austrian Uhlans from Newline designs. These little chappies look pretty good with the primer on. The excellent detail in the casting promises a fun time painting. I'll decide on the regiment later as the only uniform difference of the three ( prior to 1814) Austrian regiments was the colour of the Czapka
  16. I've tidied him up a bit and added some metal to the horse harness so I suppose he's done. You know when people put coins in the shot to show scale and you've absolutely no idea the size of the coin they've used? Two can play at that game.
  17. I was preparing to start painting today and this po-faced individual rode up and demanded to be brought forward in the queue. Not wanting to disappoint an Officer I immediately stuck a 0.9mm drill bit up his rear and sat him on a cocktail stick. He arrived as a Regimental Colonel so I've promoted him to a General Staff Officer, that'll teach him The state of play so far is He's actually wearing red trousers, just that his coat isn't turned back. BTW that isn't blood on the cocktail stick, it's off his red trousers
  18. These have been in the stash for a while so it's time to give them an airing. I've had the files out so they look pretty clean now. The Bosch screwdriver and a 0.9mm drill did the necessary deed despite a bit of screaming and the odd curse (In French). I've no idea why they made such a fuss It looks like I'll be having fun making pennants and the regimental flag. At the moment the intention is to go for the 6th Regiment but anything can happen before the paint hits the figures
