Hi Pals, For this occasion, something different, "the opposite side of the cannon", something with a Germanic flavor (more Soviet armor will arrive for lovers of them). It is the Tiger II, perhaps together with the Tiger I, the most iconic armored vehicle in the German arsenal, if not the entire IIWW, IMHO ... To try to represent him, I have assembled and finished the kit offered by Zvezda in its Henschel version. The kit is quite complete, just see the box that contains it, which is immense. I do not remember great difficulties for its assembly, the instructions in general are good and the fit as well. It includes some interior parts in the turret, rather the barrel, but they are very basic, so I have not spent too much time, rather to try to make interiors, for more complex kits than if they include detailed interiors, for later. I have included the tow cables made with twisted copper wire, as the kit includes a thread, very little showy ... A metallic ABER antenna for the end, a spare MG34, a metal frontal machine gun and some helmets. The painting has been a bit challenging, as it is my first tritone camo, and I have tried many tones until I found the one that made me feel most comfortable, so I have had to clean at least 3 times ... a very boring and annoying process ... at least I didn't have to throw it away ... lol Once "the balance" was found, the weathering process began, with oils basically, and acrylics for the chips. A little vegetation in spots and especially on the inner sides, and some mud at the bottom of the hull, nothing too intense. I think the result is very close to what I like to see in other models, only to improve for the next ... Thanks for watch and comment as always. Cheers and TC Francis.😄 BLACK BACKGROUND

Hi Pals, A new model to share, in this case, a Zvezda T35 Soviet heavy tank. I like this model because it is a rare subject, something different but interesting, with that interwar concept of the "Landship", but it also had the opportunity to enter combat, although not with the expected result. The Zvezda kit is quite good in my opinion, more modern than those of other brands, and with a contained price, so I decided to choose it. I do not remember major assembly problems, if the superstructure above, you have to sand in several points to make it fit, but nothing impossible with some skill. It includes interior parts in the turrets, but a little scarce I think, and also, once assembled, the interior is practically not visible ... Having seen what I saw, I decided that I was not going to work on them, so I went directly to other sections. The included machine guns are very fragile, due to their size, I was still able to pierce some. The running gear includes many parts, and they are also numerous as it is a longer vehicle than the others, but everything fits very well, and once the parts are ready, assembly is very fast. The tracks are also a very good point, as they include sections of variable length, which fit very well, and also include some "saggy", in this way, a difficult and tedious job is finished without much problem. The radius ring of the main turret is delicate too, so I mounted it later, even so there was some breakage. At first, I thought about making one side of the vehicle fully visible the running gear, without skirt, but seeing how it looked, I was not convinced, too monotonous and too long ... As I did not want all the work to be lost from sight, I opted for each part of the running gear that was different, to remove a section of the skirt, and thus be able to see what is hidden behind them. On the other side, full skirt. Trying another shade of green, which together with pastels, oils, pigments, graphite, give a used vehicle, although not excessively, with dust and some mud on the underside. The decals are the ones included in the kit. I think one of these little giants is worth it in our showcases, easy to assemble, very low price and a very interesting final finish. I include some photos, after the real model, inspired by a comment from @Buzby061, (For informational purposes only, all rights for their legitimate authors.) Thanks as always for watch and comment. Hi Pals, Here I present the finished model. I am quite happy to have dared to improve it (it could have been the opposite ... lol), it has not been very expensive and the additions have been very good. I think these oldies / cheap kits are a very good base to experiment, learn and improve hobby techniques and skills. On the one hand if it does not work out the way we wanted, the effort / expense is not "painful", although on the negative side, if it goes better than we expected at the beginning, the question remains "and if I had done this, or added this other , how would it have improved? ... " For this reason, I have some more model in the same circumstances, which I hope to improve (or otherwise, although I run the risk ...), now seeing them, I think I was not confident enough in my chances. As always, thank you very much for the comments and kind words that accompanied the assembly, and the interest shown. Here a link to WIP section for those who are interested, sorry a forget it... Cheers mates Some pics with a little base... And some shots in detail...

Below are the pictures of my T-34/76 1942 STZ tank. The model has been made from the old Zvezda No 3535 set. Although initially it was to be a test project I went deep into time consuming details - I scratch built the crew compartment, thoroughly reworked the main wheels, front fenders, rear plate and made weld seams characteristic for this particular 1942 STZ version. I have used some aftermarket bits and pieces as Eduard PE set, resin/metal towing cables & white metal tracks. Some time after I had built this kit I had a chance to see the original - T-34/76 1942 STZ production tank excavated in July 2016 from the bottom of the river Don - impressive! Thanks guys for watching!
