Finally calling this one done, 1/1400 AMT Klingon Vor'Cha cruiser, hand painted in humbrol enamels. Colour scheme from DS9. 30 year old decals given a coat of decalcote before use. No disintegrating decals, yeah and a localised matt cote to seal them. Picked up a good tip, scan a copy of your decals to your computer before use, just in case, then if need be print a set off. As builds go this was a sweet build, no fit issues or filler required, which is a surprise as previous AMT larger scale Star trek builds have been woeful. A word to the wise, if your contemplating getting one, pick up a first issue as the painting guide is more in depth than the Vorcha re-release which leaves a lot of the detail painting out, whose instructions you can download from round 2. All the best Chris

This is the 1/1400 AMT Enterprise kit, I have a couple of aftermarket decal sheets for it as the kit sheet is a write-off Construction commenced, not many parts but the fit is average, looks like a few putty and sanding sessions coming up. NIce gaps Nacelle painting started Funky stand

I was putting off starting this build as I thought I would be daunted with it. Turns out I should not have worried. Never Give Up! Never Surrender! Not too many bits Huge locating pins Quick assembly Cool stand So it turns out this is more of a snap together kit, which is great as I currently have a huge bought of AMS happening with my other builds. I hit some parts with paint so I don't have to worry about too much masking and started to install some of the clear parts So the fit is pretty good ( for a snap fit). I will have to attend to a few seams with putty. The build should progress fairly quickly, the longest part will be the sanding and painting I think.
