  1. Good Afternoon guys, I bring to you a new project, the Yakolev Yak-38 Forger. The kit is made by Hobbyboss of China in 1/48 scale. The chosen version is yellow 53 use as part of the aircraft evaluation program in the Afgan War in the 70's and earlies 80's. This is a post construction post because it's finnished and it participated in the last IPMS Venezuela 2016 where it became frist place winner in the quarter scale sub-cathegory. If anyone is interested in watching the pictures from the event you can click in the following link: https://www.facebook.com/pg/RumbasVenezuela/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10154756915024419

  3. Hi Guys, Here you go the last pictures of my Yakolev Yak-38 Forger or "Harrierski" as it was deployed in Afghanistan in the 80's. You may also look for it in the "Work In Progress" section of the Aviation Forums or clicking at this link http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235013202-yakolev-yak-38-forger-hobbyboss-148/#comment-2565902 Greetings Antonio
  4. Here is my Hobbyboss 1/48 Yak-38 Forger A. Painted with Akan paints, an Eduard interior, Pavla seat, Quickboost exhaust and fan and finished with a Flory wash. The only thing I am not sure about it whether to matt it down or not. Robert
  5. Yak-38 Photo-etch and Masks - For Hobby Boss Kit 1:48 Eduard Interior The coloured fret provides mainly cockpit details with new instrument panel, side consoles, ejection seat parts & belts, new HUD, rear cockpit panel; and cockpit interior parts. The brass fret provides details for rear cockpit bulkhead, ejection seat cushions, canopy frames, canopy sils, IFF aerials, control vanes, static wicks, and FOD guards. Exterior This set provides details for the undercarriage bays, prominent lift fan intakes, dorsal antennas, exhaust shields, inside panels for the gear bay doors, and parts for the pylons, missile rails, missile ends, gunpod, and rocket pods. Masks The mask set provides masks for the canopy and wheels. Conclusion These frets should enhance an already good kit. Recommended.
  6. What's in the stash that will be suitable for this GB.... let's see.... Hase Mig-25 ? Too 1970s. Academy Mig-27 ? maybe... Airfix Harrier ? Already being built elsewhere in the GB.... How about this instead.... Operated from the Kiev aircraft carrier during the 80s in the Baltic, North Atlantic and Mediteranean, the Yak-38 was Soviet Naval Aviation's only operational VTOL strike fighter, a 'Soviet harrier'. Inside the box - not only is the subject from the 80s, so is this kit ! A bit basic, on the plus side I might actually finish it in time ! Time to 'forge' on..... at least being a Soviet aircraft I know what colour the wheel hubs are going to be Was going to do this OOB, but might have to go aftermarket for decals. Plenty of time to think about it.....
