  1. We've got some more great re-releases from the Tamiya plastic model kits range coming to us later this September, with some exciting and unusual models to be had! Included in this re-release: The 1/24 Lexus LFA "Full View" with transparent body, a 1/25 German Tiger I Heavy Tank, a 1/35 Japanese Type 97 Medium Tank Late Production, and last but not least a 1/35 German Tiger I Late Production with "Ace Commander" and Crew Figures.   2. Just to remind everyone to come along to Scale Scotland this weekend Saturday 5th September. Wonderland Models will be attending with loads of bargains with many scale model kits 50% off. Make sure you get there early to get the best of the bargains! The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel at Edinburgh Airport. Scale Scotland is setting the bar high, encompassing two large suites along with a number of other rooms which will host a multitude of displays and features which will have something for everyone. Scale Scotland is looking forward to welcoming Modelling Clubs from all over Scotland and further afield. There is a huge amount of talented modellers out there, and there will be plenty of inspirational models and displays to come and see. The show is nothing without the modellers and we hope that our event allows modellers to share their wealth of experience and knowledge.

At Wonderland Models we have eight new plastic model kits due in this week from Hobby Boss these great new releases include: The 1/48 Grumman A-6E TRAM Intruder, a 1/48 BAE Hawk T Mk.67, a 1/35 Soviet T-37A Light Tank, a 1/35 Soviet GAZ-AA Cargo Truck, 1/35 Soviet T-35 Heavy Tank (before 1938), 1/35 French Schneider CA Armoured, a 1/35 Soviet T-38 Amphibious Light Tank and a 1/72 Sepecat Jaguar E French Air Force.   4. Ignore all those who say this kit will not be available until September, the new-tool Airfix 1/72 Beaufighter TF.x is in stock now at Wonderland Models usual bargain price. The kit has options for 1. NE829/PL-J of 144 Sqn at Banff in October 1944 for which Airfix provide a torpedo armament. 2.   5. The New Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito is due for release in September and will be available for pre-order on the Wonderland Models website shortly.
  6. Wonderland Models would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. RIAT is always a highlight in the summer events calendar, and this year did not disappoint. It is always great to see so many familiar faces. We hope you all had a fun weekend at the show, and took advantage of some of our bargains while you were there. If you missed us at the show, don't worry, we still have many great sale items available on our online store, as well as our usual wide range of plastic model kits, diecast models and radio controlled toys.
  7. The new tool 1/72 Gloster Gladiator from Airfix is due into stock tomorrow. We received an advance copy so we have uploaded some sprue shots for you. The kit comes in two sprues, plus one for the clear parts. http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/airfix-172-gloster-gladiator-mki/ There are 2 sprues of parts - sprue A. The kit only comes with the 2-bladed propeller And logically enough Sprue B. This has options for weighted and non-weighted tyres. The clear parts include options for open and closed canpoies and there are 2 different windscreen designs. Decal options are for the Shuttleworth Collection's aircraft in the markings of K7985 73 Squadron and aircraft 26 of the Irish Air Corps in 1940. One nice touch in the instructions is the inclusion of a rigging diagram.

We have just received our delivery from Airfix of the 1/48 scale British Forces Vehicle Crew figures set, and the two photo-etch parts sets; one for the Land Rover, and the other for both the Coyote and Jackal. Also released today are two 1/32 scale figure sets; the Gurkhas and Japanese Infantry.
  9. We have seen a lot of interest in the new Revell 1/500 kit of the USS Enterprise from the new "Star Trek Into Darkness" film.   10. Wonderland Models are now taking orders for the new Trumpeter HMS Montrose F236 Type 23 Frigate Model Kit in 1/350 scale. Looks a beauty!

To celebrate this year's Airshow at RAF Leuchars on Saturday 15th September Wonderland Models are giving away an Airfix Supermarine Seafire aircraft model kit in 1/48 scale to one lucky Facebook fan. To be in with a chance of winning simply download and print off a copy of the Keep Calm and Build Airfix poster and then take a picture of yourself with the poster in a memorable setting!
