  1. Hi, It’s been a while since I last posted so I’d like share with you some photos of my recently completed Ju88 A-5. It’s built from the ICM 1:48 kit. This is the first of their range of Luftwaffe bombers I have built and I am very impressed. Excellent detail, great fit and all at a bargain price. I wanted to finish this model a little differently and chose a winter camo scheme – something like this aircraft would have seen in service on the Eastern Front. The pattern is based on giraffe skin (!) and was masked (slowly) using the blu-tak sausage method. Although probably not
  2. Hi everyone, Just finished this excellent kit in an incredible three weeks, extremely quick for me. Every thing just fell together, great fit, superb surface detail, I'm totally hooked on these Eduard Profipack kits. I used MRP paints, Alclad clear cotes, oil washes along with some pastels. Thanks for looking, any C&C welcomed, gazza l Just noticed I've forgotten to add the aerial to the fuselage!!!
  3. Hi, This is a 120mm figure from Andrea Miniatures painted in acrylics. Joseph
  4. Hi, This is my recent model - Fokker D XXI (IV Serje) No 5 (142) in Finish colours of 2/LeLv 30, pilot Sgt. A.Trikkonen, earaly 1942. This is biuld from Special Hobby 1/72 kit but not the scheme from box. Here is she: This is my second Fokker D XXI in my life. First I did (of course Frog) in 1973 so in age of 14 and I still have it. I only removed some dust and here are family photos: The Frog Fokker was not painted with varnish, so I am surprised that decals are still on not broken! After 45 years of standing on shelf. This was quality.
  5. Hello, I have finally finished one of my longest running models. I got this kit sometime in 2007. I was crazy about having this particular version of the T-34 when it came out, but now I don't remember why. It is one of the 1941 versions, with the small turret, single hatch, and 76 mm gun. I built a generic winter 1941/1942 machine which probably served in the Leningrad area. Its been so long since I built the model (I finished it years ago, and just painted it recently), that I don't recall much of the build. At its core it is the Dragon T-34. Lots of great details, lots of parts,
  6. Moving this over from WIP to inspection time. There are more thoughts in the WIP on the kit. All in all - I really enjoyed it, until getting to the transparent parts - which I was not a great fan of. The scheme was marginally informed by archive photos, albeit with more of the winter camo remaining than I have seen anywhere. But I like the hairspray method, so went of piste a bit. Painting was rattle cans and brush work. Weathering (under the white) was oil-dot wash, and very thinned oil pin wash on top of white. Wing markings were painted on, and tail markings are le
  7. Hey All Hot on the heels of my Bf 110 Nightfighter, I present to you Tamiya's Golden Oldie 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.J. Enjoy... Yes, I know that the paint scheme, markings and composition of the model are all incorrect for the Ausf.J version, however, I have an excuse ready... This had started off with three tone camouflage and a full set of side and turret skirts. I wasn't happy with the way the camo turned out (making it up as I went along might have had something to do with it), so instead of respraying everything, I decided "what the hell, why don't I try a w
