Built OOB in the provided markings of Michael Wittmann Built for the 2021 Airfix Darrell Burge Memorial Group Build over on the Airfix Tribute Forum (aka the ATF) ( the build record is here; https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/airfixtributeforum/2021-airfix-darrell-burge-memorial-group-build-fre-t55745.html ) I was lazy so I used the 'quick build' two piece track units.

Im not sure what it is but this kit has a serious design flaw , the link and length tracks dont work! it wants you to put the track horns over the rear idler but i doesnt fit! -
Though I would do a little advertising up in the Armour section, there are currently 17 members signed up so far. As you can see below there is plenty of scope for the build that the moderators are content with. Time to put my head above the parapet, hopefully this one can ride the bow wave of the IV STGB. To cut a long story short it's a chance for us all to build a Tiger! The qualifying types: VK 36.01( Henschel prototype) VK 45.01 (Porsche prototype) VK 45.02 (2nd Porsche prototype) Tiger I, initial, early, mid, late. Either fighting or support variants. Tiger Ii. Either fighting or support variants. sturmtiger Jagtiger all variants. Ferdinand ( built off the VK 45.01 hull) Elefant ( built off the VK 45.01 hull) any scale you wish to build. come join in the fun, the next available space on the STGB calendar is during 2019. I made this Tiger long ago. Kit are from Tamiya , very nice kit, fit very well and this is my favorite tank. Enjoy guys.

Well I started properly building it yesterday(fathers day). I'll add pics of it as I progress the build. Arghhhh, so many wheels!!!!!. I've got a stack of etches to add to the base model, gun barrels (main & machine guns), grills, tow cables etc. Now to the point of this point, this model will need priming and painting in stages, I have 2 cans of primer white and grey, which is best to go under the base dunkelgelb(xf60)?
