I got these two kits on the (partial) lifting of our lockdown, as my stash is usually non existent. They both proved to be a treat to build and went together like typical Tamiya kits. The 222 was especially nice, as it had P.E mesh for the turret as well as an aluminium gun barrel. The WIP can be found here: Also, I would like to thank @Foxbat, @Hamden, @Ernst, @robw_uk and @Bullbasket for all the advice, kind comments and support. Apologies for pictures, we are having some plumbing work going on, so there is rather a lot of noise, but not a lot of space to take photos. The above one is take on the roof. Critiques and comments welcome. Stay safe.

Feeling a bit bored, I ordered these 2 online. Due to me being in an Orange Zone, these were delivered fairly quickly. The Sd.Kfz was cheap and included PE mesh and an aluminium barrel for the 2cm KwK, a nice deal and I felt it would go nicely with the Horch as a desert pair. For the weathering etc, I will be taking special inspiration from John Masters' 222 (I wonder how he gets anything done in that scale... His eyes are going for sure, while his sanity has already thrown up its hands at the sizes of models it has to work with.) The 2 boxes: The box shots: 1st is Horch & 2nd is 222 The light grey sprue is extra drums and Jerry cans. Sprue shots: Horch: 222 Please tell me what you think.

Had another go at some Armor - Sdkfz 222 1:48
Keeto™ posted a topic in Ready for Inspection - Armour
Hi everyone, Had another go at some armor and completed this little guy a couple of weeks ago. I think I improved a little bit with the color this time if compared to my first attempt here. And yes, the one cage on the turret is intended to be a different colour, I was trying to imply that one of them was recently replaced. Tamiya 1:48 Sdkfz 222 - Tamiya Acrylics, Abtulung Oils, Flory Wash, Black Dog resin bags etc, Vallejo Pigments. Enjoy and please constructively critique away.- 14 replies
