  1. Hi,thought you might want a quick look at this tiny beast, its the talk of american sites at the moment, because its being sold containing a piece of actual vehicle?,but as i bought this last year,it does,nt have it...so if you want a piece of space metal, buy it now, seemingly the box has a sticker on it,other sites will have more info than me.But if a tiny space rocket is all you want, then this is it,though it does come with 3 types of display stand,an intresting one with all the smoke in clear plastic, and you can model the vehicle with a clear payload shroud,so you can see the htv transport vehicle for the ISS,heres the pics, and did i mention its small. not much in it,only 2 tree,s,and one of them is mainly the bases the rocket the decals the stands the two versions of the shrouds, one clear one white the words hope you like, dont forget,if you want the actual piece of rocket, make sure you get the stickered box cheers Don
  2. HI,NICE ARTICLE IN THE NEW AIRFIX mag for Mar,7 page build on Revell,s Snark missile, trouble is its puts mine in the shade now as per pic enclosed.may have to build it again?.anyway enclosed is pic of contents... and my poor effort, cheers Don
  3. Hi.i didnt relise i had not posted the other half of the history makers serie,s the other half is the previous Thor kit..so here it is,i need to do something with the crane cable,as i dont fancy displaying it with the jupiter hanging off the crane,as shown on the box art, anyway here it is... thanks for looking cheers Don
  4. Hi, North Korea,s recent threat of a pre-emptive nuclear strike, against mainland US,though experts have said NK is years away from being able to hit the US,though they have been wrong before?.so its prompting the US to add 14 new Anti-Missile-Interceptors,to its existing 26 at Fort Greely in Alaska, and theres already 4 at Vandenburg, and the govt is looking at sites on the east coast mainland. They have added a 2nd missile defence radar in Japan. Though the US govt has said, its budgeting for the purchase, they would like the system proved,as it seemingly has not hit a target since 2008.Boing co being the prime contractor, the killing end is subbed to Raytheon&co,the rocket booster end is subbed toOrbital science,s Corp. All this is bound to start making China and Russia a bit flinchy, and China has just developed a new missile system, Looks like stormy times ahead, its the Downside of being intrested in rocketry, most changes, improvements, need conflict? Hey Ho ,lets go. cheers Don
  5. RAF versus the V2....now 11.oo on yesterday channel...or later again at 01.40....its a bit late,but hey ho..cheers Don
  6. Hi,fresh today, new space launch, its pretty important because until NASA get there act together, this co,is the only one that can fetch anything back from the ISS,as the russian taxi is too small for cargo. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/blast-off-dragon-heads-space-station-185002558.html cheers Don
  7. hi,i thought a 7.5 saturn was tall,this is too much.. http://www.futureincredible.com/2012/lego-pro-makes-a-19-foot-tall-apollo-rocket/ cheers Don
  8. HI,I was just reading through this book yesterday, and found this pic of a space port, but it was the caption of the pic that tickled me.So its ok to go into space, dressed in a great coat then?.maybe navigators are a special breed..... IM Sure the rocket in the pic,is the same as the glencoe one?i will have a look.....cheers Don the book by the way is its got an excellent missile and rocket chapter,BTW enjoy Don
  9. HI,a thought crossed my mind as i was building this... i dont know its a bit cramped Don
  10. Hi,anyone,as im building quite a lot of missiles at the moment, which involve their specific methods of transportation, erection, launching,in other words T.E.L.And as ive got some V2,s on the bench at the moment,i thought i might as well start the grandaddy of T.E.LS,I will do a look at the kit itself on the other section,im doing two of these,as i want one in American guise, and the other more as a show and tell one,you will see later,From the descriptions ive read about this special vehicle, this kit seems to cover all the bases,it looks like everything is there?but what do i know? From all the photo,s ive looked at,its as good as you will get,for a kit this age. Also whilst we are on this subject,M.P.M.are bringing new versions out, there are reviews on their shop section on this very Forum. I know one looks garish at the moment, but bare with it,it will work out ok? So here is the first T.E.L,THE GREAT GRANDADDY of what came after.... it was a lot of bits, lying round. it should look something like this erector,s aa bit of painting,i always said after the explorer launch tower by revell,i would not paint before assembly, never say never have i really got to fit these? finally gone for fifties scheme, red and white its good for me pigging red makes a mess of the paint booth.. with the green alongside Kurt and werner look on. bit of assembly going on. cheers Don,will this nightmare ever end?
