Will be starting to build this kit in the next day or so. However, reading through the instructions, there appears to be a couple of suggested paint schemes missing. The instructions just give schemes numbered as follows: 3 Pz.Rgt.SS-Panzergrenadier Div 'Totenkopf' No 524, March 1943 Eastern Front, Kharkov; 4 Pz.Rgt 27, 19 Pz Div, No.401, Winter 1942/43, Eastern Front, Kharkov; 5 Pz.Rgt.SS-Panzergrenadier Div, Grossdeutschlan No 524 Winter 1942/3, Eastern Front, Krivoirog-Kirovograd; and Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf No 533 winterketten 1943 Eastern Front. Schemes 3 and unnumbered are on page 14 and schemes 4 and 5 on page 15. There appears to be no schemes numbered 1 and 2. The box picture is of the unnumbered scheme. I've checked on Scalemates and the instructions are the same as I have. Am I right in assuming that the scheme numbers are wrong, or are there schemes 1 & 2 which Rye Field Models have forgotten to add? I'll probably do the unnumbered scheme, but it would have been good to know what the schemes were. Thanks in advance.

Hi All (Still waiting for decals) So just started to build the above kit and sorting out which paint scheme to use. There are two suggested: 1. Republic P-43B Lancer, A56-6, 1 Photoreconnaissance Unit, RAAF Coomalite Creek, Northern Territory - Fuselage and tops of wings look like green (could be olive drab) and either brown or red brown, underside a grey (probably neutral grey - used for Lancer P-43A-1); and 2. Republic P-43C Lancer, 40-2897, converted as specialized photographic reconnaissance aircraft,1942 - Fuselage and tops of wings probably olive drab, with the underside neutral grey as well, with white engine cowling. I'm looking to paint scheme 1, so it would help if someone could tell me what 'brown' (if it is brown) it is. The list of required paints does not give any 'brown', nor does it show what paint to use where on the final build, it just shows where to put the decals! I checked the instructions on Scalemates (instruction pdf) and that had the same manual as I have. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Would anyone know when rodney first embarked a Walrus seaplane.I have 1/700 tamiya kit and white ensign P/ E ,and Flyhawk Walrus and i don,t want the hassle of a camo paint scheme, plain home fleet grey would be nice ,Just wonder which non camo paint scheme would be correct with the seaplane or was it only onboard when Rodney had camo paint? Cheers Brian

Hello folks, I am building a Meteor PR10 in the early scheme of PRU Blue undersides and Sae Grey, Medium upper surfaces. Would anybody have an ides of the colour used inside the undercarriage bays and the undercarriage legs please? At present, I'm going for silver but wonder if they were PRU Blue? Kind regards, Neil

I am currently in the process of building an old Novo La-7/S-97 kit which I picked up for £2 at the Old Toy Museum at Bletchley Park a few weeks ago. Leaving aside that it has a few bits missing, being a lazy modeller I am slightly foxed by the paint colours given on the header card. For the version I am building, an S-97 of the Czech Mixed Air Division Czech Air Force,Slokavia 1945, it gives Matt White, Matt Black, Matt Dark Blue, Matt Red, Matt Dark Grey, Matt Light Blue, Matt Brownish-Green and "Stained Natural Metal". Is there any ready-reckoner I could use in order to relate these to my favoured Humbrol paints, or could some kind person suggest some acceptable matches/mixes? (It is particularly the last six I am after advice on.) Many thanks in advance. More on the kit here: http://www.novokits.ru/index.php/kits/11-novo-novoexport-kits/75-novo-1-72-lavochkin-la-7.html
