  1. Both built several years ago. Tamiya F-8, resin wheels, decals from Cutting Edge, flaps are from an old Monogram kit 7./SG 10 on Czech territory Hasegawa BMW built oob
  2. Academy kit built oob, even used the invasion stripe decals RAF Sqn 130 Netherlands 1944
  3. old model, Accurate Miniatures kit built oob, the chipping may be a bit overdone but it was my dad´s first try-out model concerning that technique gotta replace the sewing thread antenna someday...
  4. When I posted D-IALY and 6o30 a while ago, I completely forgot this Condor model Hobbycraft kit built longer ago, some changes to the nose to display a more correct (A)B model, 2.J/88 Eduard E-1 kit oob Trautloft´s plane, 2./JG77, at the dawn of WW2 in September 1939
  5. as with many late and end of war German subjects, there´s much discussion, this aircraft is no difference JG2, JG300, or the ominous Jagdgruppe 300, yellow-white band, blue-white band? original a/c found in Germany 1945 one of my dad´s older models, built back then with a yellow-white band, Fujimi kit with fuselage conversion to represent more or less an Erla machine another Fujimi kit, G-14, 16./JG53 1944, Alfred Michel also an older model, the braun-violett was self-mixed, looks a bit to greenish
  6. My dad isn´t a real Spitfire fan, but some SPits belong in every collection. After the already posted SEAC VIII here´s another one. Airfix kit, sliding canopy is a vacform from Squadron, sadly the kit decals were crappy, should have used aftermarket ones. Maybe will replace the model someday. Painted with Alclad White Aluminium, seatbelts and whip antenna added. Model shows an a/c of RAF 603 Sqn
  7. First up a G-10/U4 built by Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke (about 20km away from our hometown) Revell kit as base, decals from the sparesbox Piloted by Hans Mikoleit, JG51 in Hungary 1945, interesting feature are the wide Balkenkreuz on the upper wings Next is a G-10 out of Regensburg production Hasegawa kit with EagleCals, the white bands on the outer upper wings are most probably wrong, as far as we know this was only a feature on WNF aircraft, but not 100% sure JG51, pilot Horst Petschler who escaped with this plane to Sweden in 1945 And last but not least here is Rosemarie ;-) Like the first one it is a WNF G-10/U4 (with the 3cm engine cannon) JG52 in 1945 Hasegawa kit with decals from Kagero and the sparesbox Btw, the model had initially a different livery, but it was wrong and my dad didn´t like it so he decided to strip off the paint (no problem with Gunze acrylics) and do this scheme. Before: After:
  8. Thanks to Eduard, we have now a up-to-date 1/48 Mk.XVI kit, but the "old" ICM kit isn´t bad either as you can see here. Built by my dad oob, only added seatbelts and whip antenna. Model shows the aircraft of Karol Pniak, RAF 308 Sqn, 1944/45
  9. Already shown Horst Petschler´s G-10 in the triplet post. Here´s an G-6/AS he flew in 1944, JG3 planes in this livery gave escort to the heavy 190 Sturmböcke of JG3 Fujimi kit built oob
  10. After the already posted Italian G-14/AS, here are two more. An older build, finish is a bit too glossy. Hasegawa kit oob 365a Squadriglia, 150o Gruppo Autonomo, Sicily June 1943 Fujimi kit mostly oob, added seatbelts, antenna wire with EZ Line, Gunze paints for camo, markings are a mixture of Aeromaster and Stormo! decals. Model shows the aircraft of Capitano Ugo Drago from 4a Squadriglia, 2o Gruppo Caccia, in Aviano in February 1945. Among others, the book "Camouflage and Markings of the ANR 1943-1945" from Classic Colours was used as reference. Well, it is not a complete correct Erla G-10. Since there is no Erla kit or conversion you gotta improvise. Cut out some part of the left fuselage and replaced it with plastic sheet. There would be more work to do for an correct Erla, but that´s not easy. Maybe Revell scales down their 1/32 kit someday...
  11. Hobbycraft kit as base, Aeromaster decals 2./JG27, shot down over England in 1940 and captured Hasegawa kit with Aeromaster decals possibly Ergänzungsgruppe JG54 in France 1942 Hasegawa kit, markings with Montex mask and decals from sparesbox unknown unit, found in Lechfeld in 1945
  12. Hasegawa kit 7./JG27 on Crete 1943 Hasegawa kit with EagleCals Nightfighter I./JG302
  13. A well known 109 fighterbomber scheme, seen as a model in different interpretations, here´s my dad´s. Hasegawa kit with Super Scale decals, model shows an a/c of 8./ZG1 in Russia 1942
  14. Fujimi kit with Kommandeur decals most probably an a/c of NJG11 in 1945 Hasegawa kit, don´t know the decal source anymore aircraft of JG27 in 1945 Hasegawa kit with Kommandeur decals aircraft of JG11 in 1945
  15. Tamiya should do more 1/48 Spits, not only the I and V.... here´s their Mk.Vb trop, another Tamiya shake and bake kit. Built oob some years ago, painted with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics Model shows an a/c of RAF 601 Sqn in North Africa
  16. As a 109 fan, my dad had to build the derivates too..(a new built Buchon will be ready soon) So here´s an Avia in Israeli hands, 101st Fighter Squadron in 1948 during the Independence War Hobbycraft/Academy kit, bombs and rack from Hasegawa, think also the gun pods
  17. Fujimi kit, decals from sparebox After the Allied invasion most German fighter units were thrown at the western front, only few stayed behind to defend the Reich. As sole group of JG27, II. Gruppe was stationed in Fels am Wagram/Lower-Austria to defend the Vienna area from July to October 1944. Pilot of this Bf109G-6/AS was Unteroffizier Fritz Zimmermann who was shot down and killed on August 23rd 1944 over St.Pölten. My dad also used a Fujimi kit for the Bf109G-14/AS The model shows a plane of 13./JG53, Unteroffizier Herbert Maxis was hit on Jan 1 1945 by AA fire during Operation Bodenplatte, after a belly-landing when getting out of the plane he was shot by advancing US troops.
  18. Another well known Emil scheme. Hasegawa kit, code decals from the sparebox because the Hasegawa provided "J" hadn´t the correct shape. Model shows an a/c of III./NJG1 in December 1940
  19. Good old Dragon kit built oob, only added minor detail on the turbine. 1./JG1 aircraft towards end of war
  20. Trumpeter kit built oob, only the kit´s way too big and like chocolate easter-eggs looking droptanks have been replaced with the excellent molded resin products from Barracuda Studios. Decals from the kit, most of the stencils taken from an Aeromaster sheet because there aren´t hardly any in the kit. Grey paint was an acrylic selfmix with Gunze, Sky an enamel from Revell, clear finish with Tamiya XF86. Model shows an a/c of HMS Theseus during the Korean War.
  21. The aircraft of Oberleutnant Erich Rudorffer, first Staffelkapitän of 6./JG2 in 1942 and in January 1943 promoted to Gruppenkommandeur of II./JG2, stationed in Tunisia. The 190 only saw action in North Africa with JG2, SKG10 and SG2. Most aircraft kept their European livery, some were overpainted with RLM 79 and a few with a sand-green camo. For Rudorffer´s a/c there are several different interpretations, single 79 or a two tone camo, straight and angled fuselage band, white stripes on wings or not, sadly there are hardly any pics of JG2 machines in North Africa. So here´s my dad´s version. Hasegawa kit (A-4/F-1 Tunisia) oob, Gunze and Tamiya acrylics, the underside color is selfmixed
  22. Eduard´s latest edition of their old Tempest kit, built oob Model shows one of Clostermann´s a/c RAF Sqn No 3 in Summer 1945
  23. Built some years ago, Tamiya´s wonderful Storch kit. Built oob and painted as usual with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics. The model shows one of Rommel´s birds in 1942.
