I have been using the gloss version of this... ...with a broad flat brush for a month or two now - prior to decaling and I've been very happy with the results so far. I just wondered - does anyone use it through an airbrush. If so - does it work just as well and can anyone recommend the matt or satin versions. Advice and opinions as always - gratefully received. Thanks - Steve

Hi all. Has anyone encountered an issue with Mig Ammo Lucky Varnish - Matt where, when you spray, its hitting the surface with small beads of fluid instead of nice, transparent coverage? When I looked at the spray pattern against the back of the booth, is was almost whisping out of the airbrush instead of projecting as normal. This stuff had worked perfect every single time until now. I only marginally managed to get it to perform by putting in a few drops of ultimate airbrush thinner, but it usually works straight out of the bottle. I shook it thoroughly before use so I'm kinda confused as to what the problem is with it. Its not freezing in the house at the moment, but is temperature a factor? Tamiya paint sprayed perfectly fine earlier and in a subsequent test. I'm pretty confused at the moment and its pain for the reason that Lucky Varnish is the only one I've used without any frosting, bar a rattle can of Vallejo matt (but that's a pain to use on the fly). Any suggestions or help would be appreciated, thanks. Gaz

Reputedly the meanest, mattest, blackest acrylic black on the market: This is one coat over a papier mache mask from The Works. It's still drying so there's some glossiness to bits of it but there's no denying it's black and it's matt: Manufacturer's website: http://stuartsemple.com/project/black-v1-0-beta-worlds-mattest-flattest-black-art-material/ John

Hi hope everyone had a decent Christmas. Im having issues with my tub of galeria matt varnish and vallejos matt varnish, I just cant seem to get them down without brushmarks, So im hoping a basic airbrush set to spray these with might solve my issues? Im more than happy with using a hairy stick so far its just the final matt coat, Grrrr! Im looking at revell set 39199.. Seems to be fairly priced. Would i be best with something like the above or would a single action cheapo airbrush do the job...The airbrush will be strictly for varnish! Cheers gents and all the best!

Hi there, Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I can't seem to find any Dullcoats or Matt Finishes, as stated in the title. I've done the gloss - decal - gloss, and now my model is quite glossy, and I just can't seem to get a hold of any dullcoats etc. My first port of call would be a Physical Hobby Shop, like Hobbycraft. If you can confirm an online shop is reliable, then I'll happily order from them. Thanks in advance.

Am in the middle of building an Invader and using Humbrol 155 matt for the bomb color. I brush painted it about 24 hours ago and it is still tacky. It is one of the tins made in England, one of the newer batch. I am also using other Humbrol paints and they seem to be drying normally. Usually for a matt paint, it is not tacky after about 1 or 2 hours. After 24 hours, the paint is still tacky. Any suggestions. Since the other Humbrol paints are behaving normally on the kit, do not think it is something on the plastic or a reaction with the plastic. Did not use a primer, but didn't use a primer for the other parts. Any suggestions would be helpful, otherwise, thinking about stripping it all off and redoing the bombs with another brand.
