Here’s my version of Tamiya’s 1:48 Vought F4U-1D Corsair. Aftermarket: HGW wet transfer (highly recommended) Montex glazing and insignia masks Ultracast seat & harness (resin) Quickboost engine (resin) Brengun wheels (resin) Paints used: 502 Abteilung oils Akan mig Mr Color MRP Tamiya vallejo I was inspired to build a “well used” Corsair after following @Dansk’s excellent Birdcage, his build gave me the notion to try multi-layer chipping and to portray both zinc chromate and salmon pink primer, I’m reasonably sure that salmon pink primer would have ceased being used before this version of F4U? Here are the photos… You can see my build log here… there you’ll be able to see the help and encouragement from numerous forum members who I owe a huge debt of gratitude to until next time as always, any suggestions, criticisms or comments will be gratefully received. rgds John(shortCummins)

Anybody got two million pounds burning a hole in their pocket? Talk about VAT! Sure is a beautifully done restoration of a very, very rare Hurri! The only other Mk IV I can think of is a static display aircraft in a Yugoslav museum; like this one, it is minus the armored blanket that surrounds the oil and coolant radiator housing, as well as the 40mm cannon. I guess the owners feel it is a more attractive aircraft with the four 20mm Hispanos. I would have wished they had mocked up the 40mm cannon- they could have used the empty fairings for travel pods to store bits. Outstanding workmanship, though. I thought many of you would enjoy seeing her! Mike http://www.platinumfighters.com/hurricaneiv http://aerodynamicmedia.com/hurricane-kz321-for-sale/

Hi -- I've searched to see if there is a For Sale or Exchange section on Britmodeller, but don't seem to come up with anything. Possibly, I am searching with the wrong words/phrases, borwsing through the wrong subforums -- or possibly there simply isn't such a section, never was, never will be. If the "never was, never will be" scenario applies, would I be allowed to post a for sale notice in an appropriate forum (civil aircraft), or would that be considered wrong? Selling even a single secondhand kit through Ebay is time consuming, troublesome and confusing, let alone selling 20 or 30... Fingers crossed BM has a For Sale section and I was being a wally as per usual, duh..!

I have 3 x Pledge Floor Finish With Future Shine, 27 fl oz arriving from the United States. I got a family member to send them over. Unfortunately she used UPS and the shipping costs were horrific. Each bottle form Walmart was just under $7, I am willing to part with 2 Bottles. I trying to break even. Excluding local Royal Mail shipping any offers, chaps. I am looking at around £20 a bottle, I know it is expensive but I have moved heaven and earth to get these sent and I know you cant get the stuff here. If I have no decent takers then I will keep all 3.
