This is my build of the Monaco gp version of Ebbros amazing Mclaren Honda MP4/30 done as Jenson Buttons car which finished 8th in the race given the Mclaren Honda partnership it's first point of not only 2015 but it's first points since Hondas exit in 1992, obviously Mclaren and Honda have had different partners since the breakup in 92 but none of them were anywhere near as successful as the Mclaren Hondas between 1988 and 1992 winning 8 out of the 10 available championships in that period. So the Base kit Ebbro make is very good, everything fits nicely and most of the instruction stages are well thought out ind in a good order, I would recommend this to any type of modeller new or experienced. I did make a few modifications to the kit as there were some areas of the kit that let it down, mainly the wheel hubs/brakes. I had a set of tamiya redbull hubs left from a previous build that went in the parts bin so cut them down and they fit on first time without any further major surgery. I also used the acustion full carbon decal set to further enhance the look and changed the antennas for real metal. The cockpit is another area that let's the kit down slightly being very simplified with just a decal for the belts and a very simple attachment for the steering wheel so I added 2 different types of carbon to the seat and a fabric seat belt, also I used some off cuts of wire that I had from an old detail up set to add some realism next to the seat. Paints were the zero paints colour matched set and 1k premixed clear from hiroboy for the body and any other area was airbrushed with thinned tamiya pot paints. So enough blah blah blah here's the car Thanks to those who commented throughout the build and to those who look in on it here Shaun
