Considering all my other projects are German I thought I should do one for the home team. This is a Airfix 1/48 hurricane Mk.1. A lot of this is guess work as I don't know the prop types etc. This is one of the defending planes of 605 squadron in the 15th August northern raids. It was flown by P/O Kenneth Schadtler-Law. UP-O, P2717 I think you can guess why I chose this plane. Ken was South African. On this raid he short down one of the raiders into the sea. In doing so he was hit and had to land in a field which resulted in the plane turning over and he injured his head. This is my progress so far. I won't be detailing the build as there are already several being documented.

Hi I have decide to build Tamiya 1/72 scale HS 129 from unit operating in Tunisia. Henschel wasn't popular among the pilots due to its engines and lack of space in a cockpit. Germans couldn't develop suitable engine for this plane and the start using a French ones. Those engines aren't the best and fail often. Nevertheless HS 129 was successful tank killer but mostly on the ester front. In Africa lucky for us do too a lack of engine performance in the desert environmental, the plane wasn't able to do much damage on allies tanks. This kit is repack from Italeri done by Tamiya on a bit better plastic. I will add Eduard photo etched parts and Decals from Print Scale

Hi all, just a quck question: I'm wondering how to get a nice dusty finish (such as on MickE's beautiful Wellington http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235001041-148-wellington-1c/?hl=wellington )without using pigments, but buying online is my only option, and I can't find any MiG pigments(I can also take a cheaper brand of pigment, if any) under AUD$15 ( £8) as the nearest model shop is more than 1500km (950mi) away; not really an option! I know you can also airbrush a dusty-looking covering on, but I would need some tips on this before starting. Any answers welcome!!

Hi there, Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but I can't seem to find any Dullcoats or Matt Finishes, as stated in the title. I've done the gloss - decal - gloss, and now my model is quite glossy, and I just can't seem to get a hold of any dullcoats etc. My first port of call would be a Physical Hobby Shop, like Hobbycraft. If you can confirm an online shop is reliable, then I'll happily order from them. Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody, I'm glad indeed to have finally something to share. This is a Finnish Fokker D.VII from Revell. I bought the kit in Helsinky during my new years holiday there. In fact I bought it as a souvenir as it was a special edition for Finland. I wasn't even going to start it, but somehow got involved bit by bit. I scratchbuilt the interior and added some minor detailing, but nothing really special. I hope you will like it even though the pictures are not nice. Cheers, Dmitry
