Here's my 1/48 Trumpeter Mig-23, lovely kit very well detailed, I assume with a better modeller you can get much more out of it. I'm aware the pics are not good but with the light I have now it's what can I get Cheers!

Hi, this is my recently finished A-4Q 3-A-301 of the Argentine Navy, based on the nice Airfix new-tool A-4B/P. The kit itself goes together really easy, the plastic is a bit on the soft side but not bad at all. I really like this new Scooters from Airfix but there's a biiig BUT here, every that hangs it's wrong, maybe de 1000lb bomb can be saved, but the fuel tanks are so wrong, they have a conical section in the middle!?, the snakeyes are ridiculous, I beleive the person who designed the fuselage is not the same who designed all the rest, you cannot do something so well and frack it up so badly later, I really hope Airfix thake note of this, please please Airifx!. Finally I bult Fujimi's A-4B kit and it's far better in many ways but Airfix's is so easy to build that in some point are in different categories, if someone is interested I'll translate my post at my local forum where I go a little more into detail. About the subject itself, this is not a Malvinas War bird, I tried to depict the aircraft earlier on his carreer (circa 1976) when they where in much better shape than in 1982. The weapon load is not one of the 14 operational configurations used by the Armada (Argentine Navy), but is similar to those used at displays. The color is similar to USN on that period, one more peculiarity are the walkways, if you look at the pictures they have an "L" shape, I seen a picture in a book showing this so I decided to replicate the detail. This is what I used: - Aerocalcas decals (RIP). - MERs sourced from Hasegwa's weapon set and Fujimi's OA--4M kit. - Bombs also sourced from Hasegwa's weapon set. - Antennas made form plasticard an wire (VOR anntena) - Pitot tunbe and windscreen wiper made also from wire. - Resin Escapac seat from True Details. The only modification I made was to cut the arresting hook to show it in the down position. Finally a family picture with his big brother a 1:48 Hasegawa A-4Q, this one is from the Malvina's war with a much more worn out look. Next up is the 1/32 Trumpeter A-4F conversion to an A-4Q to have it in the three main scales. Note: I'll update the post showing the various anntenas and other stuff specific to the A-4Q, maybe someone will find it useful. Hope you like it Cheers

Hi, finished this one quite a while ago but I was to lazy to take any pictures, it's a 1/48 Hasegawa F4U-5NL built as an Argentine Navy Birds from the 60's, it's mostyl OOB with the exception of the weels and the decals. I'm not thrilled with it, even when I haven't done any screwup (that was the main goal on this build) but sometimes I think it's a bit dull. Hope you like it PD: Photobucket: your're going backwards!!!
