I've just bought the KP Spitfire Vb 'Aces' kit which is excellent but somewhat confused about the camo references it shows so would appreciate some help please. The kit has 3 decal options, one of which is for Stanford Tuck in what they claim is medium sea gray undersides and ocean grey and dark green upper surfaces with a sky spinner and tail band. The second option is for Eric Lock with sky undersides, spinner and tail band and with the upper surfaces in dark brown/earth and dark green. The final option is for R L Milne with medium sea grey undersides, light slate grey and extra dark sea grey upper surfaces with a sky spinner and tail band. Admittedly my knowledge of post BoB schemes isn't great but I'm not sure if any of these suggested schemes is correct, apart from the Eric Lock scheme which seems to fit as this depicts an early Vb possibly before the new camouflage scheme was introduced. Any clues/advice greatly appreciated. Colin.

Hi all, Is there any way to find out whether a specific P-47 was delivered in NMF or camo? My subject aircraft was camouflaged at the time I have chosen to model it, but I am trying to figure out if it was factory or field painted. A search reveals nothing I could find, hopefully one of you gents (or ladies) may know more. Thanks, Mark.

I've searched the internet with no success. Does anyone know the proper colours for the camouflaged Croatian AF MiG-21Bis and their FS equivalents? I use Xtracrylix and ModelMaster, if there are equivalents for them as well. Interestingly, the MiGs are currently being overhauled in the Ukraine and are coming back in a typically modern 'boring grey' scheme...

Marshall of Cambridge updated several ex-RAF Canberra B(I).8's to B(I).68 configuration for Peru in the mid 1970's. These left the factory in a brown/tan disruptive scheme over grey undersurfaces. Example: http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1079569/ And in video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAHZ-mtcomo Decals for this scheme have been made available by Aztec and Model Alliance; Aztec cites FS595 numbers for the colors as 30117/33531/35622. The Model Alliance sheet is not readily available on this side of the Atlantic, so I don't know what they say. However, as a British rebuild of a British airframe for service in a South American air arm without much US equipment, I am skeptical that FS595 was used as the color standard. I am looking for citations on the actual colors used, and/or recommendations for model paints (preferably acrylic) to represent them. Thanks, - David
