Following the confirmation late last night that British Airways intends to retire its entire fleet of Boeing 747-436's, I felt it was a fitting time to bring this kit to the workbench. I have flown the 747 since 2016, after a twelve year stint on the 757/767 fleet. My last flight on the aircraft was in March, just as lockdown was starting - maybe I will get the chance to operate one more flight as the aircraft are dispersed...? The kit is the Revell offering - here's the box: Rather than the "Landor" scheme provided, I shall be finishing the model in one o

Hi Everyone Thought it was time to get some serious modelling done for this GB. I'm going to make a 1/144 Revell Airbus380, finished in British Airways livery using 26Decals for the BA specific parts. Obligatory box / state of play shot: The windows were filled-in in advance of the GB to leave enough time for shrinkage effects to show. Although there is still some minor finishing needed, most of the windows are quite good: Having recently flown on the "baby" of the fleet, this will be finished as G-XLEL. Mike

First ever Group Build entry so be gentle on me! Took advantage of this kit being £6 on Amazon, the box shows why it's so cheap Current update on build: First time I've built a conventional airliner so this should hopefully be easy, all out of the box with BA decals too

Afternoon folks. My two favourite airliners are the 747 and Concorde but for years I have struggled to do a decent job on 1:144 kits with most of them now having been binned off! So last summer I decided I needed to have another go and take more time at getting it right. I had already bought the Revell 747-400 and the Zvezda 747-8 but I didn't want to go Lufthansa on both so started to loom around for other schemes. As luck would have it someone was selling the Landor decals on Ebay so I bought hose and cracked on with the Revell kit. It is as it is so any errors are mine but I am pleased

Hello Everyone Im used to seeing the Eastern Airways Saab 2000 fly into Norwich Airport, i have always wanted to build a model of this but have been unable to find a kit. I had forgotten about finding a kit for a while until i noticed a photo of a saab 2000 in British Airways livery, they have leased one of Eastern, i am a huge sucker for anything BA. As a result i have found the urge o find one again, so does any one know of a saab 2000 kit on the market, resin, vac or injection? Thanks Bradley
