  1. My first kit built to order for a customer, and a few photos before I have to decide the safest way to post it! I enjoyed this build and haven’t made a Trumpeter kit before but it was a good fit and nice plastic to work with. A pretty straightforward build, and even included metal etch seat belts and nose aerials. Colours are extra dark sea grey (instructions say DSG), and Humbrol 90 ‘sky’ which was matt but I used gloss varnish after to shine it up a bit. All oob including the decals as this is how the client wanted it, although I did adjust the height of the tailplanes as they are too low in the kit. All comments welcome!
  2. After the Spiteful F.14 (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234949742-132-supermarine-spiteful-f14-resin-kit-by-iconicair-released/) and the Seafang (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234975303-132-supermarine-seafang-resin-kit-by-iconicair-box-art/), Iconicair (http://www.iconicair.com/) is to release in November 2015 a 1/32nd Supermarine Attacker resin kit - ref. 3. Hi all, My son is about to start building the Tamiya Bogue class aircraft carrier and is looking for colour profiles of ships in the Bogue/Attacker class other than those available in the kit. Any help with paint colours to use (has easy access to Tamiya, Gunze, Vallejo and Revell acrylic paints) would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Craig.
  4. Hi All, Number 3 for this GB. Not many bits in this kit either. Quite a few ejector towers to deal with.... Clipped together - 9 parts comprise the entire aircraft if you're doing it in flying condition. However - Given the fact the mould is in the region of 60 years old there are a couple of items that need addressing... That would be the major issue. The other issue is that the cockpit walls could do with going further back into the intake. Solution? Bit of styrene sheet and coffee can foil can work wonders Jet fan is something quickly drawn up in AutoCAD and printed off, paper then stuck to blanking plate and intake walls painted silver. Tailpipe glued in place. Now glued together and awaiting further sanding and filling. Best get on with the other ones now - Oil paint has finally dried on Turtle!
  5. Hi, all! In the process of building of model Supermarine Attacker 1/72 from AZ model http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewtopic.php?t=69517&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 within group building "Wings of the British Empire-2" http://scalemodels.ru/modules/forum/viewforum_f_204.html there was a question about the tire Attacker. Was the hypothesis reinforced by a photo that the main tire Attaker and Vampire are identical is stated: Whether someone can confirm this hypothesis data on the sizes of tire Attacker and Vampire from technical documentation on these airplanes? Possibly someone has samplings of buses of these airplanes? What will it give to modellers? If the hypothesis is correct, then for Attacker it is possible to use aftermarket tires from Pavla for Vampire: B.R. Serge
  6. After the F.1 variant (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234919852-148th-supermarine-attacker-f1-by-trumpeter-released-review-links/?hl=attacker), Trumpeter is to release a 1/48th Supermarine Attacker FB.2 kit - ref.2867. Release is expected in February 2014. Sources: http://old1.trumpeter-china.com/a/en/news/20131112/2540.html http://www.cybermodeler.com/news/trumpeter.shtml V.P.
  7. The Trumpeter's 1/48th Supermarine Attacker F.1 kit (ref. 2866) is scheduled to release in China for August 2012. Don't ask me why she's presented as "new variant with significant new tooling"? Most probably a "wrong copy & paste". Sources: http://www.trumpeter...20612/2156.html http://www.cybermode...trumpeter.shtml V.P.
