I really need to learn some skills for doing Airliners.
Top of the list is making a fuselage joint that disappears, especially on the top.
Whether it's painted, foiled or whatever else, that darn top seam is the deal breaker, isn't it?
Bare metal finish picks up every hint of a fudge up, and gloss white is JUST AS BAD 😳
Herewith some practical hands on experience.
I've had this languishing on the shelf for a while now...
Embossed inside the wing is 1982, and APC or something. Made in India.
So it's a reissue of the original from the 70s. Rediculously simple in construction, it's really all about the fuselage.
Here's the manual.....
And delete section 3, because I'm going wheels up, and hopefully on an Airfix stand!
There's a big sheet - by Cartograph no less! - and I'm going with the Alitalia option.
It's white all over for a start. It's also VERY stylish, and maybe not done quite so often. I have plans for the Canadian option into the bargain.
I also have the option of the Flightpath "Western" decor for the plane, but I'm passing on that for now!
I'm under way, glued up and joints sorted!
I think I've achieved my current maximum outcome for the fuselage roof ‼️🙏😎
Well, lm on the case.....
